Question about Canon CanoScan LiDE 600F Flatbed Scanner

Canoscan LIDE 600F negative scanning

When I scan my negatives (using the special attachment, of course) they show up on the screen washed in a lovely shade of royal blue.

    Turns out that the problem went away when I rebooted the system.

    I have the same issue with my scanner. I rebooted as well but the issue still persists. I wasn't using the toolbox software provided with the scanner but using photoshop CS4 directly to import my negative scans. This has always worked fine until last night. I already installed the toolbox software and yielded even worse results than importing directly into photoshop.

My Canoscan lide 700f will no longer scan negatives

Hello try to reinstall the software for the scanner from here:

Please select your windows system 32 or 64 bit.
Download the driver and uninstall the old software before you install the new.

Canon does make an driver upgrade once a while to fix previous problems with the software.

When I try to scan a photo I get this error: "specify the program where the scanned image is transferred"

I know for me...when I scan a document, a program pops up with options. Of course the program is provided by canon.

Canoscan Lide 600F I can't scan bacause I keep getting a message about a target disc????

target disc means hard drive or other disc that the file temporary loads to. its either full or most like write protected. right click on the scanner in control panel or the scanners. select "where" to save to in the popup menus

Can I scan slides with Canoscan LiDE600F

Yep, The Canoscan LiDE600F is capable of scanning slides, however it is not possible to scan them in their mounts. If you dismount the slide, you can scan them using the film strip holder. This is not an elegant solution and you would have to remount your slides to use them as originally intended.

No option to scan Film Negatives

In order to see these options, you must have the Film Adapter Unit (FAU) attached to the scanner. The FAU is designed to scan in 35mm film, either positive or negative. The scanner has no options to scan in mounted 35mm slides.

Does the scanner work for scanning at all? If not, you may have a communication problem between the computer and the scanner, i.e., the computer doesn't know how the scanner is configured so it doesn't show the options. If it's a communication problem, check for any other USB devices that might interfere with communication. Especially, some printers seem to take over communications. Try disconnecting all other USB devices (except keyboard, mouse, etc.), reboot, and see if the situation corrects itself.

Failure to open OCR documents scanned into Microsoft Word in a readable format

Have you installed OmniPage? What OS are you using? Which scanner did you have previously? Are you able to OCR a document through OmniPage?

Scanning negatives on CanoScan 600F, I get an error message "Cannot write or read. 252.0.0"

The Canon support site is the place to go for that if your Manual does not tell you.
However remove the software and reload it - it may be as simple as that.

Scanning Different Sized Sheets

There should be a preview option that scans more quickly than actually scanning the page. Then after the preview shows, you can select the area that you want to actually scan and then you hit the Scan button. If you are using the Canon software, this should work for ya.

Redish/Pinks color to scans.

You need to reset your scanner's color management settings to default..
Which utilty software r u using?Arcsoft Photostudio?If yes go to Edit ->preferences
Set RGB settings to the same level(adjust the slider next to red)

If it doesnt work or u r not using back..
