The power switch lights up ok, then if I try to use any speed or Pulse the blender runs for approx. 2-3 seconds, then the power cuts out. How can I dismantle the unit to check the problem.

If the power light is on and the motor is not running the circuit board that starts the motor is defective. You could try to bypass the control board and apply power directly to the motor to verify the motor is ok and no blown fuse or circuit breaker. then you get to replace the circuit board or isolate a failing component on the circuit board.

The speed control board is gone. Parts may be next to impossible to find. If the blender is not very expensive or out of warranty, it may be cheaper to get a new one.

It Could Be a Number of Things..
It's most likely that the electrical Wire Could Have a Shortage, If it cuts off again Try gently Wiggling the Electrical Wire in a Number of Directions If it cuts on and off while your fidgeting with it, you've found your Problem! A quick fix would be to Adjust the wire In the position it would cut on the strongest, wrap the cord with Tape to Keep the wire in that Position, this will Prevent it from shorting again.
Either that or you simply put too much product in the Blender with an inadequate amount of liquid.

More often than not it will need the motor to be replaced, only Kitchen Aid parts will do, motors are usually unique to brands and models. Sometimes it can be the control/button panel but normally the motor.

My Blender Model number KSB560MCO does not run. When try to blend all of red lights come one and they blink and move around. Any suggestions what could be wrong? Appreciate any help.

Pretty much that is what happened to me. I found that the motor has 2 "thermal cut-offs" (SEFUSE 113oC). If the motor heats up even a little, these babies kill your blender. They are thermal fuses. Once they blow, it is over until they are replaced. To fix this, the motor must be removed. The spline gismo on top of the blender unscrews with reversed threads. I suggest unsoldering the lead wires from the power supply board, and replacing when done. The cut-offs are inside the taped on white cloth insulation on the top of the field magnets near the brush assemblies on both sides. I replaced them (both were blown) with 2 of NTE8242 ($1.60 each, 240oC 15A). These are way too hot, but that is what I had on hand. I thought that the electronics were defective at first, and I replaced the entire board assembly with a small/cheap ceiling fan wall switch /speed controller from the hardware store (600W 5A) for $10. The root cause of all of this is that the motor fan is not working. The airflow is blocked by base. I put small extenders on the feet and now there is much more airflow. Only time will tell if this is an effective fix. etc. It really makes me wonder how it got past UL approval.

Important: This blender has an intelligent system that
automatically shuts off the appliance after 2 minutes
for speeds 1 to 18 and after 20 seconds for the PULSE
and CRUSH functions. If this occurs, the LED display
shows "EE"; unplug the unit and wait 30 seconds.

Mine does this as well... 5 seconds of operation and then OFF.
My guess is this is a fail safe where the blender is turning itself off to avoid overheating and what could potentially cause this overheating is the blender is struggling to turn the blades. What could cause this struggling of turning the blades I am guessing is a lack of oil in the blades rotating parts.
If you hold the circular blade part and turn it, you'll probably find that its hard to turn? Mine is... and I oiled it up a bit and found I got a bit more usage out of it... although only temporarily.
Ideally I need to pull it apart and oil it properly.

I have the same problem. Mine used to work, has only seen light use, and now it runs for about 1 second before it shuts off. Expensive POS. There don't seem to be any solutions either.
