Did you try raising the arm for ice?

The only way to make ice faster for this machine is done with cooler ambient room temperature and colder water temperature from supply water before it reaches water sump tray.

There is some sort of arm that fits into the ice tray; when the ice fills up the tray the arm is pushed up and a switch connected to it will open the circuit and prevent any future ice maker operation(s). That switch has to be closed for unit to work!

Put the bottle in first, add "2 trays of ice cubes," (does anyone still use trays?), then fill cooler to the neck of the bottle with cold water. Turn on.

is the lever for making ice in the up or down position?

This is a common problem with these coolers.

Could be the fan needs to be lubed. Pull the covers off, take the fans off, pull the stickers off the fan and put some light grease in the small hole. Put back together and try it.

BE CAREFUL WITH THE FANS, you can break the blades very easy

If the icemaker has a bail wire to control how much ice is in the bin, there is a fill switch inside the front cover of the ice maker which allows you to increase or decrease the amount of fill.

You may also have a cracked or corroded ice mold. Check by filling the icemaker with water manually, and watching to see if it drips once the initial overfill stops dripping. This would also be indicated by the ice cubes being smaller than usual.

The fan should blow air into the heat sink. The warm air exits the heat sink at both ends. (It might work the other way, haven't tried it.)

When you have ice in your cooler, you know the thermo-electric element is working well--it's below freezing!

Ice builds up because there is water in the cooler. For example, in humid weather, you open the cooler, some humid air gets in, and the cooler temperature condenses the water. You have to empty this water, either by tipping the cooler, or using a sponge.

You can easily defrost the cooler by unplugging it for an hour or so. You know it's time to defrost when you hear the fan blades making a racket because they're hitting something--a thick buildup of ice.
