SOURCE: the sound on my car stereo won't come on but when

This is going to be a short somewhere in your speaker wires. I know that doesn't solve your problem and it's a pain to find shorts sometimes, but it's one of those needle in a haystack problems sometimes. Hope you find it and good luck!

SOURCE: I connected a after market

If you got the stereo used the speaker wires might not work. I stereo only puts out sound thru the RCA output using an amplifier.

SOURCE: sound comes in strong and weak at different times

It could be that or a loose wire to one side of the speakers in the set. If it does it often enough locate where the actual sound for each side of the set is located---when it does it get close and listen---if one side is low or distorted you know it is either a connection or speaker on that side OR since most sets have a left and right channel for sound--the issue is in one side.(circuit problem)

SOURCE: why is no sound coming out of stereo

Did you press one of the speaker buttons?
Did your cat chew the speaker cords?
Pressed the mute button?
Turne the volume low before pressing any button.

Our 50 inch Westinghouse TV has stereo sound that comes and goes. It always has mono tone, and when I rewind a recorded channel sometimes it will suddenly be stereo sound. How do I keep it on stereo?

That sounds (ar ar,) to me like you have a loose audio wire somewhere, but since the speakers are built-in you cannot gain access to that area without some dis-assembly. This will naturally, Void any warranty you may have remaining on the TV.

If the TV is connected to a Sound-bar or a Stereo or other audio appliance, then it is likely a loose or damaged wire between it and the TV.

02 bonneville. Stock radio has power, but i install my pioneer and no power. I did use a wire harness.

With the stock radio installed, turn on your parking lights and listen for the chime (same sound for key in ignition with ignition off and door opened). Does the sound come from the front left speaker or from behind the dash? If it comes from behind the dash, disconnect factory stereo and turn lights on again, id the chime still there or does it go away? If the sound comes from the left front speaker or goes away when you unplug the factory stereo, you need a different harness, its called a chime harness Pac Audio part #C2R-GM32R, could be the thing you need.

Sound not working properly!!!

Run microsoft update and make sure to select all updates (even optional). You will see hardware updates (if there is any) and this may fix the issue. Let me know if not.

Good Luck!

The left earbud of my Bose in-ear headphones doesn't have sound

You probably need to replace the stereo plug on the end that goes into the jack. Most of them are molded on unfortunately but it can be done with a new jack and some soldering skills. There have been lots of people with the same problem on this site so there are already some good explanations of how to do this on here.

No Sound

well, if it powers up, youve still have hope// check and see if you can see a fuse holder at back of stereo... or go to a radio shack or electronis place and get whats called 'contact cleaner' ( may go by a different name, make SURE you know that the salesperson knows what your talking about..PS.you dont have to buy the pricey stuff, but dont get the cheapest either.) then UNPLUG stereo, make sure its not hot ( dont have it on for a long time before working on it) then pull out the knobs on the front ( the volume,left/right,etc) spray a LITTLE bit into the stereo where the plugs go.dont drench it, a little goes a long way) after spreying it in, turn the knob back and forth so it gets to all the points.... make SURE its dry before plugging it back in, you can tell if you see any moisture where you sprayed.( another reason, not to spray much) i usually let my stereo and tvs dry over night before trying them.while your waiting, may as well take a cloth and clean the face, get any cruddies off... good luck
