Question about Ricoh Office Equipment & Supplies

Hi, I’m Elvis. Just bought a Ricoh Aficio MP C2550 from a friend’s shop. He was using it when I bought it, I got to my shop and having problems printing with it. Problem is, when networking it, the computer can’t locate the IPv4. If I punch in the ipv4 too the computer can’t locate the printer automatically. I have to select it manually. Hence after installing if I issue a print command it doesn’t print

This could be a few things, first thing i would try is to go in page setup under the program you are using and make sure paper is set to auto select (File>page setup). The program will override the print driver.
next make sure the driver setting (paper source) are also set to auto. make these changes by right clicking on the driver>printing preferences.
third I would go to the copier, Make sure the tray are set to the proper paper size and the display paper size matches the tray

Check for:
-broken plastic gear on right side of copier
-paper or foreign object in paper path
-paper or foreign object near fuser

  1. the web image monitor is the easiest under the address book which means you must log in & It has to be networked.
  2. Under the counter in system settings the counters should be separated.

Ricoh Aficio MP C2550 does not default to one to one copy after use for 2 to one (front to back) the next person to use it gets charged for 2 copies when they only wanted one.


The machine should be set up so that it resets each and every time the card is ejected.
You might find the setting in user tools, but some where on the machine there should be a setting that resets the machine upon card removal. typically machine are set to reset after so many seconds of inactivity, but on coin and or card controlled machines you want the reset at card removal. You may have to have your service tech come in and set it up as it may be in Tech settings, if not in usee tools on your machine.
