Strange screen symbol

For some reason my player now shows an image that looks like PC female pin socket with the word "HOLD" in red when I try to shut it off or press play or attempt to acess the menu. Can anyone help me?
Thank you,

Yikes, I never saw that little bugger on the side of my player. I almost was ready to purchase a new one. So thank you and I have to admit that for a retired physicist I'm embarrased. LOL

Flip the "Hold" switch to unlock it.

ATI Radeon X1659 Pro - Which pins carry the composite video signal on the 7-pin S-Video output?

Looking at the female socket, there is a flat 'key' (slot) at the bottom of the socket, there are four pins directly above that.

The composite pins are the two middle pins of the four. Looking at the female socket, the left of those two pins (pin 7) is the composite video ground. And the right of those two pins (pin 6) is the composite video signal.

I got from a customer VGC-RC310G, dont't bootup. alarm "abnormal cpu fan", on bios cpu rpm = 0 , but fan is running. One strange thing, cpu fan had 4 wires but is connected to a 3 pins plugs on...

Got from customer? Meaning what?

Nothing strange about a 4 wire CPU fan cable.

One wire is for a Positive connection. One wire is for a Negative connection.
One wire is for a sensor that reads the RPM's. The last wire is to regulate the fan speed.

3 wire connector has one Positive wire, one Negative wire, and one wire to read the fan speed.

Manufacturers of fans can put the wires in their connector in any order they wish.

Therefore the 4 wire fan's connections may not match up to the 3 pin connection on the motherboard.
Move the wires around after testing the pins on the mobo, (MOtherBOard), with a multimeter.

Use a needle to depress the lock tab for the metal terminal in the connector, so you can remove the wire.
To explain:

The wires go down into Socket holes of that fan's plastic connector.
The wires go down into the BACK of the plastic connector.
The wires end in a metal terminal. It is a type of Molex rounded female terminal.

A Molex Female Crimp Terminal Connector.

Left-click on the image in the rectangle. (Has across the image)

Takes you to another page showing the metal terminal again. This time you can enlarge the image.
Click on the Zoom In icon at the top ( + )

Looking at the image, a wire comes in the Left side. The U shaped tangs you see are then crimped over the wire. The right side has the receptacle end for the pins on the motherboard. This end is in the Front of the fan's connector.

Come to the left partway on that round barrel shape, and view the tang that sticks out.
There is also one on the opposite side.
These tangs lock the female metal terminal in the plastic connector.

A needle is used on the Front of the connector, and is inserted up into one side of the socket hole.
Inserted up into one of the sides where a tang is.
Inserting the needle depresses the tang.

(You may also have to view the tang as best as you are able, and ensure that it is depressed. {Magnifying glass}

The needle is then inserted into the other side where the other tang is present.
This tang is depressed, then the wire, and metal terminal can be extracted out of the Back of the plastic connector.

Gently bend the tangs back out using the needle. Then after you have removed the wires, (With the metal terminals on their ends), you reinsert the wires into the plastic connector's socket holes, in the order you wish.

Don't use the sensor wire that regulates the fan speed for the 4 wire fan connector.
Use the Positive, Negative, and fan RPM wire.

LCD projector not displaying image of the laptop

On that Dell, you have to tell the laptop to display the image on an external unit--look on either F4 or F8--you will find a small TV screen symbol. You have to press and hold "alt" and press the key. The options are, 1-show image on just the laptop, 2-show the image on the laptop *and* something else, (like a projector), or 3-show an image on JUST an external display. NOTE: Sometimes, you have to turn on the projector FIRST, then immediately turn on the laptop so they boot together--just one of those strange things...(remember, **for example** first press of "alt" F4 will get you laptop and projector, second press of "alt F4 will get you JUST the projector, third press of the keys will bring you back to just the laptop)---Rick

After chaging my mp3 player, it doesn't work, when charging it shows that battery is charged but there is blured images on the rhs and hen when not cg=harging battery shows red

Have you reset the player? Reset the player by holding the off-switch and the volume-+ (plus) switch.
If this doesn't help try this: Connect your player to the pc that has the Philips device manager running, then reset the player by holding the off-switch and the volume-+ (plus) switch. As soon as the player shuts off, press and hold the volume- - (minus) switch. The Philips device manager will recognize the player now, and recommend a repair, let it do so.

Record from tape deck to computer via USB and Audacity software

Im not sure what DIN sockets you're trying to describe here, but quite often, you can record from a tape player to a pc by connecting an rca cable to an adaptor; rca to 1/8"(headphone pin) and then plugging that headphone pin in to the microphone input on your computer.

Sansa Express mp3 locked. How to unlock n access the mp3 player?

The lock symbol means that the hold is on. Next to the power button is the hold switch. Make sure the switch is away from the power button so that the red is not showing. If the hold is off and it is still showing the hold symbol, then the hold button may be messed up and may need replacing. But first, do this to check that it isn't just malfunctioning: First, try a soft reset. Do this by pressing the center button and the up volume button simultaneously and try turning it on. If that does not work for you, you will need to get a micro sd card (it can be a dummy) and insert it into the slot on the side of the mp3 player. If you do not have one, you can use one of the round edges of a paper clip (be careful) to get it to come on. When you put either in, it should come on automatically, but if not, just press the power button. This should work.

PC sometimes shuts off for no reason

When it does shut off, can you start it up right away or does it take some time before it starts up? if yes, it is the CPU that heats up prompting the system to shut off.

However, if no, it could be a loose connection somewhere. Please advise....

Monitor Showing to much red

Is it possible that your PC or Monitor is just showing more red tones? Have you checked a WHITE background like a blank webpage? Does it have a red tint too?
Do you possibly have speakers or an external fan near your computer or your monitor? If so they sometimes have magnets that will interfere with your screen.
Another thing you might want to check is to unplug the monitor cable that attaches to the computer and check and see if any of the PINS in the plug are bent.
Please let me know how this works out for you.
