A friend of mine did an install for microsoft office 2008 on my mac laptop. with the newest update it says i have to re-enter my product key. i followed the step, deleted the plist files etc. and tried to re-enter what i thought was the product key, but it didn't work and the friend and i have since had a falling out, so i really don't want to go and ask him...
Uninstall it and go buy a legit copy.
You should also check for maybe a "crack" folder or NFO file that if opened with a simple word processor might have information that you need.
If it is your software then go get it back.
If it is your "friend's" software then it is illegal for you to use it and you should uninstall it.
It is inappropriate to ask the nice people here at FixYa to break the law and give your their product keys.
This is piracy. You can not legally have two computers running the same Copy of SW. Please refrain from it. I can only advise you.
