How do I fix an E4 code on SoleusAir model DME-951P-01?

E4 Error Code
The E4 display is not actually an error code, but indicates that the air conditioner has entered defrost mode. This occurs when the unit detects ice on the evaporator which located behind the front grille. Once defrosted, the air conditioner will resume normal operation.

Here are the SoleusAir error codes...
e2 Room temperature outside of working range of unit (too cold).
e3 Faulty coils - Repairs needed.
e4 Internal frost in the unit - Defrost.
e5 General failure - repair needed.
e7 Reservoir full - Empty the reservoir.
If the unit is freezing up (frosting) you may want to check (clean / replace) the filters.

There will be more to it than just E4..........it will say E4-01, E4-10,11, OR 12.
If its e4-01...that means the machine is not warming up and may have a problem with the Fuser unit.
If its E4-10,11 or 12 it relates to a problem with a Fan motor.

What is the make and model #?

E 4-01 is a fuser error that only can be reset in service mode F9 reset fuser

check the sub code , it would read E4-? , such as E4-10 is fuser fan, E4-01 is low fuser temp, sometimes hold the print key after in code and sub code may appear. Then you can go to next step of repair.

This error message is because the water tank is full. Just empty it out and put it back in and the AC will start to work again. If that doesn't work then I don't know what the problem is, but I just had the E4 error and did that and the problem was solved.
