For that you have to have an Instant Messanger (IM) installed on both the PCs. I suggest you install Skype from www.skype.com. Both PCs must have same IM installed. Come back to me when you have done this much. I will guide you further.
Go to www.Skype.com. It's a free service which gives you both video conference and IM chat capability. It's easy to setup. Both of you will have to downlaod and install it. Skype is owned by Ebay, so it's pretty reliable.

I'm using a Vista x32 operating system .my Philips ToUcam Pro II (CVC840K) doesn't work und this version of Windows.It appears that all components of the webcam are automatically included in Vista EXCEPT the video driver!! The video driver is shown as an unidentified device in device manager.
