Question about Canon imageCLASS® MF4150 All-In-One Laser Printer
I had the same problem with this printer. And I think I got the problem solved by removing the all paper from the paper tray, and re-inserting the toner cartridge. I think it is the problem with incorrect error message from Canon's printer. It is problem of paper being fed into the printer mechanism slightly.

I took all the paper from the paper tray, I found that actually there is a paper got stuck in the tray, I removed that paper, then put the paper back in the tray, then it worked.

I had this problem pop up on two of my machines this month. I tried new cartridges, cleaning it, updating the firmware, etc. Nothing worked. I finally started looking around in the machine where the toner cartridge goes and noticed a little round metal tab on the left hand side that seems to need to make contact with the printer cartridge so that machine knows the cartridge is there. I pulled the tab out a little bit to make sure it would contact the toner cartridge when it was in place and my problem went away.
Hope that helps.

There is a firmware update from Canon that fixes this problem.
search on canon MF4150 and go to the Canon website for this product, then to the Drivers and Downloads tab.
Follow the instructions in the PDF file that is downloaded.

I have had a similar problem with my 4150. The only practicable advice I can offer is to remove the toner cartridge, and then clean the bay into which it fits, as well as any metalic surfaces with which it connects.
I just tried this, and the printer decided that it was actually suffering from a paper supply error. It offered me the chance to resume, which I took, and thusly, I got my page printed.
Still not happy, but. I am aware that this will envariably happen again, usually at 5.05pm on a Friday...

Just had the same annoying problem. Went and got a new toner. Installed it. Didn't work. Opened it and cleaned the area. Didn't work. Removed all the paper and put it back, in paper tray. Didn't work. Turned it of and back on, and it is solved. Mind you, I have turned it on and off at least 20 times already. So it was either the cleaning of the toner area, or the paper tray (or both), plus turning it off and on, that fixed it. Just put back the old toner and it is working fine, so i'll keep this one for later (already took that tape strip out, so I hope that will not make it go bad soon or something...)
