Doe the laptop have a recovery software creator?

The manufacturer should have recovery software available (for purchase) in the event you need to restore your laptop to the factory state.

Hope this helps :) Kindly leave a rating. Thanks..

Hi, i have the ramnit-g virus on my samsung nc10 which is spreading itself all over my laptop and causing avast to constantly block the contaminated files, which is causing most programs to fail, and...

The Samsung NC10 can boot from a USB memory stick - you may have to press the F12 key to select to boot from USB rather than the internal disk drive....If you go to you can download a copy of the AVG Rescue CD which comes in 2 versions, one for CD and one for USB - download the USB version and follow the instructions on the AVG web site for how to put this on the USB memory stick.....Boot the netbook from the AVG USB memory stick and use that to help remove the virus infection.

How to format my acer 5620 without cd ?

Unless you have a cd for that version of windows in OEM style for xp and any for vista you will be out of luck. If you have another computer with the same OS and have its operating system installation cd, you can use this if it is the same version.

Windows XP needs to be exactly the same thing. Windows XP pro, home and media center are all different. So are Retail, Upgrade and OEM cds. For vista or 7 any disc will work that matches the version type, it will determine the version by the COA.

If you do not have access to any cd/dvds then you can contact Acer for a replacement.

Samsung v 25 runs very slow. cant reload xp system from recovery cd because the xp version on cd is too old. as far as I know all software version are legitimate.

Try using an antivirus or antispyware scan to see what may be causing this to run slow. Often one of theses nasties causes this. If it is slower than it used to be i would suspect an infection.

I suggest Malwarebytes to protect it in the future as well as AVG free antivirus.

Also try reducing some of the initial opening programs on the taskbar.
Type MSCONFIG on RUN and take some of those progs off to see if that helps it to open and run better
you can always retick them one at a time to see which one causes the most problem. No damage is done by unticking all progs temporarily.

When i insert a burned cd, the cd is recognized as such, but it does not see the files on it.It considers it as an empty cd

If you have burned CDs using Windows XP, you are already familiar with the Mastered format. The latest version of Windowsoffers a new format, called Live File System. Discs that use the LiveFile System format are often more convenient because you can copyselected files immediately and as often as you want, as if the discwere a floppy disc or USB flash drive. On the other hand, Live FileSystem discs can’t be used in all computers and devices. Use this guideto understand the difference between Live File System and Mastereddiscs:Discs formatted with the Live File System option:Work like a USB flash drive or floppy disk, meaning you can copy files to disc immediately without having to burn them. Are convenient if you want to keep a disc in the burn drive and copy files whenever the need arises. Are only compatible with Windows XP and later versions of Windows.Discs formatted with the Mastered option:Don’tcopy files immediately, meaning you need to select the entirecollection of files that you want to copy to the disc, and then burnthem all at once. Are convenient if you want to burn a large collection of files, such as a music CD.Are compatible with older computers and devices such as CD players and DVD players.
Why are there different versions of the Live File System format? Eachversion of the Live File System format is compatible with differentoperating systems. Depending on which computers you plan to use a discin, you might need to select a different version of Live File System. If you plan to use your disc on the latest version of Windows, however, you will never need to change the version of Live File Systemyou use. If you need to make discs that are compatible with earlierversions of Windows, use the table below to select the right Live File System version for your needs:
The following table describes Live File System versions and their appropriate uses.

This format can be read on Windows 98 as well as many Apple computers. You should use this version if you need to format DVD-RAM or MO (Magneto-optical) discs.
This format is compatible with Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Windows Server 2003. It might not be compatible with Windows 98 or Apple computers.
This format is compatible with Windows XP and Windows Server . It might not compatible with Windows 98, Windows 2000, or Apple computers.
This format is designed for the latest version of Windows and might not be compatible with earlier versions of Windows.
For information on how to choose one of these versions when you format a disc, see Format a CD or DVD.
Top of page Foranother computer to be able to read a DVD disc, that computer must havea DVD drive. CDs can be used in both CD and DVD drives.
