Hi, my dayson suppose to run for 10 min. but after 3-4 min. it's off, and after couple of seconds is on, and it is on and off, so I can't vacuum. What it could be wrong with it?

Your vacuum may be clogged, overheating and shutting off. Check for obstructions in the hose by laying it as straight as possible and shining a flashlight in one end while looking thru the other end. If you have a curved hose end, try holding the suction hose from another vacuum while checking for airflow in the opposite end.
Try a simple method. When chabging the bad suck in a couple pieces of kleenex in. This will coat the inside of the bag and prevent the pores from clogging up making the vacuum think the bag is full. If this doesn't help email me [email protected] I I will go through how to disconnect this feature
It should take about 6 hrs to charge. I had the same problem and reset the charging circuit. 1) Charge it until the green light comes on. 2) Unplug and pull battery out. 3) hold down the power on button 15-30 seconds. 4.) Put the battery back in, plug in the charger (direct - not through the dock) and charge for 72 hrs. Then, run at Max clean until the "I'm dead" tune plays.
I am going to sound like a broken record but here is my same answer to another person with the same problem.
I have I had the same problem with my Dyson DC16, where it only runs for a few
seconds at a time with each trigger pull. My husband called Dyson
(Canada) and without hassle they shipped us a replacement part which I
just received this morning. The replacement part sent to us is: DC16
Main Body with Rating Plate. It is also under warranty for 1 year. The
great customer service makes up for the flaw in the machine. Also,
Dyson is aware of the problem. Hope this helps.
sounds like the motor is overheating .check and see if the brush roller is turning when its on.if its hard to turn or won't turn at all take it back where you bought it and insist on a new one.my thoughts on new items is if you buy something new then it shouldn't have to be fixed.insist on it.please leave feedback...pete
It could if the separator is binding, or dragging, when it turns, causing the motor to over heat, that maybe what you are smelling. If it is, then replace the separator.
