Spil water on tmobile g1

My daughter spill water on my g1 phone and yes i don't have any insurance. The LCD still works well i think it works i get the t mobile logo and the android logo but nothing else. I think there something to got fry inside the board but the problem is that i don't know how to check this so i can find the problem or do i need to replace the whole board and if so where can i get a cheap one.

when ever you get water in your phone take the battery out and sim card and everything else out then try to blow dry the back if thats were you got water in but no tumble dryer. or just let it air dry

Waterdamage usually destroys the logic board. The T-Mobile G1 logic board isnottoo hard to replace. A good source for the part would be ebay. ButThereis a step by step guide too that explains how to replace the board : T-Mobile G1 repair. There are also third party T-Mobile repair companies that do it for you.

when ever your phone has been submerged, u must always turn it off straight away, take the back off and allow to dry for several days, do not put in tumble dryer! if a problem still persists then yes u will have to change circuit board, could be very costly, could also try ebay
