Error code F-77-2

Copier was donated to local church. Getting error code F-77-2. Is this anything serious, or could we do anything on our own? Hesitate to call for service, as we do not have extra funds to put into this item.

Same code as previous poster, but the trays seem to be in line, and move up and down when powered on.

I cna't help unless you provide the make and model of the machine. From the looks of the number it could be a Konica but I need the model to tell you wat it means. Aloha,  Bill Monroe

OK now we have something to work with. Yours is an older model but fortunately most of the major manufacturers keep the same codes. My manual says that your F-77-2 is a finisher problem. Finishers are the large attachment on the side of the machine that is little more than an expensive stapler. That particular code is indicates that the tray that travels up and down is out of position. This most often happens when the system is moved and the tray is knocked out of its track, and it might look a bit higher on the rear side than the front or vice seversa. The simplest fix would be to visualy inspect the tray and if its crooked, try straighten it, or the best solution is to remve the finisher altogether and use the exit tray to catch the copies as they come out of the machine. The finisher is more trouble than its worth, as you have found out.

Let me know if this helps.

Service Code SC620-01

Steve Jensen: The Ricoh copier error code 620 / SC620 is a BICU to ADF communication timeout error code.

If you are receiving a document feeder communication error code of SC620 you may want to:
Check the Serial line connection (unstable)
Check the External noise on the line

To reset this error try the code:
"Clear Mode"+107+"Clear/Stop" hold for 5s.
Turn ON and OFF the Main Switch.

If the problem persists you may need to contact a local service technician to take a look at your copier.

this is the first result when you go to and type in
scs620-01 seriously...

Getting a error msg 77 ?

Your Heater Thermistor most likely short circuited. It's a $10.00 part, however, you will want a Brother ASC to replace the part as it requires you to take most of the machine apart. Call your local Brother ASC by searching Brother's Website enter your printer info and your zip code.

If you take the back cover off the copier and look on a bid board that says "dc controller" it should have a fuse labeled (fu200). If this fuse is blown then it will cause this message to appear. See if that helps.

Have you tried unplugging the finisher to see if that eliminated the code? Or gives you a different F code?
