Hello there!

Well it depends from your sound card manufacturer. Most of sound card manufactures provide you with installation drivers and software, but if you are asking about what software you should use i suggest you usage of Realtek HD audio sound drivers they work on all windows/mac/and i suppose linpus linux/ubuntu platforms.

Vista goes blue and restart after unnistalling intel turbo memory

I'm afraid that the only way is to reinstal Vista. If you recive a message that says that Vista arent capeble to repait it self ther is no other way. I Guess that the instalation of the driver for Intel Turbo Memory messed up Vista pretty good and uninstal it dosent help. You will always have bad file system on Vista. Better then to star from the begining with a fresh reinstal.

Good luck

Problem with Pundit-R and PCI graphics card

I had a similar problem when installing a GeForce 5200 256mb PCI card in my Asus Pundit-S running winxp which I overcame when I got the sequencing of installation right.

First, Physically install the card in one of the available PCI slots. Using the onboard graphics to your monitor, boot the system. Windows will detect your new card and prompt you to install. Cancel Windows installation and use the supplied Radeon install disc for driver and program installation. After that, Reboot and enter your system's BIOS. On my system, repeatedly hitting the delete key gets me there.

Now this is where it may differ. In my BIOS, I needed to select the ADVANCED Menu followed by PCI CONFIGURATION. If your BIOS does not have the ADVANCED menu, you may have to upgrade it by downloading from the Asus Global Site. That is a whole other challenge but it is possible...hehe

The two options that need to be changed in the PCI Config Menu are:
Primary VGA BIOS -> PCI VGA Card, and
Onboard VGA -> Disabled.

Save changes and exit BIOS however, on exiting, you will need to unplug the VGA/DVI cable from your onboard port and connect it to your PCI card port. My card will not display the content unless it is plugged in from initial boot so you might have to restart your computer if you are not quick enough to catch that boot cycle.

Selecting these options should avoid any onboard conflict between devices as the Pundit-R has an onboard Radeon 9100 chip. I suspect the two same-make chips is where the conflict problem lies plus you don't need to be running the onboard graphics if you have a dedicated PCI card.

I hope this helps.

Good Luck.

I have just connected a HP Deskjet 3940 to my new acer computer and it is not printing. I went in print then options and clicked on a few things but still not working. Have new cartidges in 22 and 21

un install the printer driver, reboot ,windows should detect new hardware ,and then insert the cd that came with the printer select have disc and re-install the software.
if your acer has vista you may need to get a vista driver for it,or worse the printer is not compatible with vista.

good luck
