The battery may be detective or the charger does produce enough power.

SOURCE: solar battery charger

Yes, but the efficiency of solar cells is terrible. Its one thing to use free sunlught to charge the cells, its another to have to pay the electric company to do it. If you can access the batteries in the solar rig easily and they are in the correct voltage range, I think you would be better off getting a battery tender (trickle charger). Just let the van sit outside until the batteries are fully charged, then connect the battery tender to keep it fully charged.

SOURCE: I had asked about a solar panel on the AC of our

That is correct the solar panel will charge the RV battery which is connected to an inverter. This converts the DC power to AC for the AirCon.

SOURCE: outdoor umbrella with solar leds with switch, doesn't turn on

If you connect to solar panel for the lights to go on do the lights go out at night? If so, and the they do not light when hooked to the batteries then the batteries may have no charge and may also not be holding a charge. Put in new batteries to test.

Can I charge my HP 632 (that has rechargeable batteries in it; from the USB hooked to a solar charger?

You may recharge the batteries using any compatible charger. It doesn't matter to the camera whether the charger is powered by a nuclear reactor or a hamster running in a wheel. Bear in mind that the HP M632 is NOT a battery charger. The batteries must be recharged outside the camera.

We have set up the solar power fountain with pump as per instructions. The pump is submerged, solar cell in full sun for 3 days, but the pump does nothing. doesn't even make a sound. Its an 8 watt...

Using a battery/volt meter, check if the battery has a full charge. Also check if there is an on/off switch on the back of the solar panel. If the batteries are removable and are standard batteries, charge them using an AC battery charger the first time. If not, you may have a defective solar panel and should return it to the store/manufacturer.

We bought a solar light a Westinghouse item # 37136608W It had a least 7 hrs of direct sunlight for over 7 hrs.but still does not work, We think we had it on. is it possible that the off switch shuts off...

For first time use solar light needs to charge in full sunlight for 8-12 hours with the switch in the "ON" position to allow the rechargeable battery to reach maximum capacity.
There is also a protective film on the solar panel that needs to be removed.
After doing that, fully charging the battery with the switch in the "ON" position, then if the light does not turn on, remove the 4 screws from the solar cell assembly, remove the battery, wipe both ends and reinstall battery. Make sure the battery is making secure contact with the terminals. I had a new one and the battery was loose inside, making the light go on and off. I reseated the battery and all is well.
However you should not have to replace the battery or the unit, it should still be under warranty if you just bought it. Westinghouse guarantees this unit for one year.
A description is here

Waranty information is here
http://www.westinghousesolarlights.com/products/solar/1yrwarranty.pdf
I would counsel you to just take the unit back for exchange or refund, as the warranty has an exclusion clause and one of the exclusions is if the unit has been opened. Opening the unit might invalidate the warranty.

My solar lights will not stay on they will blink and go off.I live in Florida SUNSHINE most of time. These are from Home Depot and are Hampton Bay mfg.

... and they are how old???

In my experience, where I live to the North of you, where I work in a camping resort, where our seasonal campers make use of the same devices from the same supply and source), I have found the batteries in these devices are good for NO MORE than two seasons with little exception.

You might have other troubles, like the day-lite sensor is cloudy or being impacted by some other light source or the panels are cloudy and will not charge the battery fully. Read on please.

The way these things work, generally speaking, the solar panel part of your light actually recharges a rechargable battery in the battery pack. These batteries take a beating - fully recharging and fully discharging EVERY DAY. You can probably replace these batteries with new RECHARGABLE batteries to extend the useful life of your lights. Did I mention the lights are always subject to the full heat of your beautiful sunny days as well as the full fury of your dreadful rainy season? BTW, we visit often and love Florida.

I hope this information helps you.

The solar eyes dont light up anymore

Check the rechargable batteries insode of the decoy. The solar panels recharge the batteries so that they can supply energy to the lights at night. The batteries have a limited lifespan and need to be replaced every couple of years. Replacing the batteries ought to bring your decoy back to life. Enjoy!
