Try another set of brand new Duracell batteries and make sure they are inserted correctly. If the Doorbell is wireless as many are these days, it may need pairing. There are settings so that if next door has the same bell, you can use different channels.

Go into set clock and set the alarm.

Mine is a 750, but essentially, when you search long enough (pref with a magnifying glass) you can find a tiny little slit. If you carefully wedge a pen knife or similar underneath, you can get it open. Quite a tight fit though!

It sound as if the hand has been released from its mounting.

Take it to your local watch repairer, who should be able to fix it back on for you.

To set the clock you need to -

1. With the unit powered off press and hold the "Time Set" button (looks like a reverse check mark.)
2. Now (at the same time) press ^ (up arrow) for Hours and press (the down arrow) for Minutes.
3. After the time is set release the "Time Set" button.

No luck finding repair, so have accepted that mini jack into ipod and aux-in socket in on-time will have to do. My daughter is satisfied!!
