Undefined my computer always run, when i want to shutdown my com,the sceen massage-its trun safe mode to shutdwon, then i press the switch batton abobe-5-10 secend.

You have an error with adobe, version 5 is a very old version. It is probably trying to update itself.

Go into safe mode and remove adobe 5 reader from "programs and features" under the control panel.

Then if all is working, go to and download a newer version that is compatible with your computer.

I am using Firefox the latest version and connot get Adobe Flash, the latest version, to function. What am I doing wrong?

Uninstall your flash from the Add/Remove Program menu in the Control Menu. Try installing flash again. Sometime the flash player have issue installing correctly. Make sure you download the flash player directly from Adobe's site. Normally, if the player is installed correctly it will play a very short video on Adobe's site to verify the player is working properly.

I seemed to have lost my sound just to utube

No sound on YouTube videosIf you don't hear sound on YouTube videos, please try the following steps:
  1. Adjust the volume control on your computer and speakers.
  2. Adjust the volume control located in the lower left corner of the YouTube Video Player.
  3. Restart your internet browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, etc.)
  4. Ensure that the volume is turned up on other video players, such as Quicktime, Real Player, or Windows Media player, as this might affect the video player sound.
If you still have no sound after trying the steps above, you may want to try the steps below:
  1. Install the latest version of Adobe Flash (necessary for streaming YouTube videos) after removing any old versions you've installed. Learn how to install the most recent version of Adobe Flash player.
  2. Allow third-party Flash content on your computer by visiting the Adobe Flash Global Storage Settings Panel and following the instructions. Once this is complete, close all browser windows and try re-playing the Live Event.
Please be advised that this action stores a Flash cookie on your computer. Flash enables this by default upon install.
  3. Check your Antivirus and Firewall software to see if you're blocking third-party Flash content.

- download and install adobe flash player 9 and install it. - once installed try to browse a video, if it works, adobe itself will just update to the latest version.

I go to alot of websites for their information and they say I need adobe flash player to view the info. I have downloaded it but it never works.

You probably need the newest version of Adobe Flash Player for those websites.

Yes, I read where you downloaded it, but there is a flaw.

Adobe Flash Player will NOT uninstall the old version. Therefore it won't use the new version until the old version is removed. Adobe Flash Player does Not remove the old version automatically. (As many other programs do)

YOU have to manually remove the old version, before you can install the new version.

Adobe Flash Player Uninstaller.

Yep. Same place as the Adobe Flash Player new version.
Adobe Flash Player Support Center.

Go to the bottom of the page.
Under the heading Adobe Flash Player Uninstaller, you will see Tech Note in blue.
Click on it.

Or this is the page it takes you to. (I just wanted you to see how to find it)

To the right of number 1, click on the blue - uninstall_flash_player.exe
I would set it so that it goes to your desktop screen. Much easier to find.

After the file has downloaded, go to your desktop screen.
Double-click right on the file name.
Install it.

Now run the file.
Restart your computer.
Go back to the Adobe Flash Player Support Center, and download the latest version.
Install it.
Restart your computer.

Let me know how that works in a Comment.

Why cain't I install Adobe flash player on XP Pro.

It's possible that the OS came with a version of it instaleld already. If you tried to install it, you should have received a message indicating that version was already installed, and to remove it to install a newer or different version.

Go to your Start Menu and in the search bar, type in Adobe Flash Player. If no results are shown, or it is not in the list, go to the control panel, go to "uninstall a program" and look through the list to see if it's in there. If so, uninstall it (any version of it) and then try to install the one you want.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Removal of Adobe 8.1.1

Go to start, control panel, add remove programs, then select adobe 8.1.1. It is always better to uninstall the old version before installing the new one.
