That happens when the strip behind the carriage gets grease or ink on it. If you lay a print at the exit face up, you can look at the strip exactly above where the defect is, and you will see the grease spot or ink. It can be cleaned with a q-tip and water.

I get an error code 5100. Printer does not start to print. I have checked the printer head and cleaned it. Only on print catridge is low and flashing.
