My Sanyo tv is not working. The power light comes on and then starts blinking red.

I myself had a 55 inch hdtv ready projection tv and the lamp went out in it. It cost me $104.00 plus shipping to replace it. Check out discount replacement parts but remember that if it is a projection tv, it won't last but approximately two years and you will have to do it again.

JVC Model AV-48P575 Green/Yellow Screen

You can try a hard reset: Unplug TV from AC mains and remove all cables from TV. Wait about 30 minutes and replug to AC power and redo the cabling. Switch on the TV and see if it works..

Certainly, I can help you. I would recommend going to the following link and getting the service manual so you can see first hand disassemble instructions and testing procedures. Its only 10.99 and they email it to you shortly after purchase. The manual is a valuable resource as it will have part numbers in case you do need a new screen. here is the link.

Good luck...

Sanyo lcd projector has horizontal scrolling lines in its picture. Is this different than a lamp problem? Electrical? All else works fine. Thank you. Sanyo PLC-5600n lcd video projector. Not a tv.

This is caused by the processor and not by the lamp. As you might know, these projectors display colors by blanking out the light with lcd pixels. Most folks don't know that any display devices such as displays on cameras, laptop displays, etc. use an amazing amount of original technology that powered CRT TVs. (Yes, even vertical hold, although done electronically today, is there.) You'll just have to send this one in for service.

Problem with a colour display on Hisense tv

If your picures are all purple it means that the green colour is missing. TV colour is made up by mixing Red, Green & Blue. Removing Green leaving Red & Blue makes purple. Study the green colour circuit for a fault and confirm that the green gun inside the tube is working.

Sound like you lost Vertical Deflection.  Youshould not have a line across the screen because this could destroy the threeCRT Red, Green, and Blue (Picture tubes) if left on to long. There is a protection circuit built in to protect your CRT’s.    Check on the PCB-SIGNALboard (Tuner located on this board) transistors Q-206 Collector should be around 1 Volt Base and Emitter 0V. If the voltage atthis point is greater then 5 Volts the Vertical output IC-401 (Mounted on heat sink 7 pin inline IC) is bad, Part # LA7845.  Pin Voltages should be PIN 1= 0V, 2= 34V, 3= 32V, 4= 3V, 5= 3V, 6= 33v, 7= -6V.  Data sheet located at

Toshiba 56PW8 rear projection - lost sound and picture after powercut

The convergence amps in those units consist of two Sanyo STK392-110 Ic's that get hot enough to fry eggs.. If your storm flexed voltages enough it could have easily shorted the amps and/or take either of two pico fuses in the 24v supply line to the amps... If you're not too tech savy this is one for a reliable shop and not and expensive fix. Two Sanyo Ics and a couple pico fuses should be more than $50.00 dollars and a couple hours of labor to put them in... While they're at it have them check the caps in the hyper module and for any ring cracks in the deflection circuit...
