This morning I went to turn on my Ipod. It didnt turn one. I thought it might need to be charged. So i charged it. I went to go turn it on again, and basically it is turning on and off for the the past few hours. I tried the reboot, center and menu, but still afterwards it just turns on and then off and then on, and then off, etc..

More than likely the battery just needs to be replaced. I let my nano go dead and it was doing the same thing. So just get it replaced and that should fix your problem.
Depends how adventurous you want to be. It's most probably needs a new battery but could be a number of things. It's a matter of trail and error to work out what the error is. I would advise trying a new battery and if that doesn't work sending it or taking it to a repair center.
well my ipod was fine, then when i went to open it up, my tool slipped and i knocked off a circuit in the motherboard. from their my ipod was dead. it didnt do a THING. hope that helps. and if you found help please let me know. thanks

This happened to me to. I was listening to it when I arrived at my destination, and I thought I turned it off and I put it in my pocket. Later that day when I went to listen to it, it wouldn't turn on at all. Aparently, it had stayed on. Hold the pause button for five to ten seconds. The apple symbol will appear on your ipod. Immeadility put it in your docking station before it goes away. Your ipod will turn on, and itwill start charging.
