Keys locked and machines beeps

I rec'd a used Swintec 7040, it was working when first plugged in. I changed ribbon, and now when I turn it on it just beeps and no keys work.

Try reinstalling the ribbon again. Sometimes the ribbon get caught in the daisywheel. If that doesn't work, try a new ribbon.
