Question about Sony NW-HD5 MP3 Player
For everyone dealing with the 'Spinning Dots':
2 options, either works fine but one is faster than the other, i would recommend you try method 1 and then method 2 if 1 fails.
Method 1: With the face of the thing being the side with the screen, turn it to the right. you should find rectangular compartment (which, if as hold as mine is, would be a little wobbly). Take a sharp point, like a pen and use the nib in the small indent in the centre. Pull down, which should pop out the compartment. swing out, and use the nib again to hook the piece of metal to pull out the battery. Pull out the battery completely and then replace. Snap the lid back and turn on your mp3. Hopefully, this has re-booted the drive and should be working.
Method 2: (NOTE: only try this is method 1 fails!) While it is on the white screen, technically it is still playing. Therefore, it must run out of battery, leave it somewhere safe for about 2 weeks, maybe longer depending on how much battery was before the crash. afterwards, re-charge it using the USB cable for about a day and it should run fine.
