Question about EPoX MB EP-9NPAJ NF4 RET Motherboard

1 Answer

Motherboard Hi. I recently wiped my hard drive and reinstalled XP, but my motherboard CD has gone MIA. Its an EPoX EP-9NPAJ motherboard (I think Taiwan's internet connectivity has been seriously compromised due to a tsunami, because the server keeps on timing out on me... so I cannot download any drivers from there). The following devices return errors in Device Manager: Multimedia Audio controllerPCI Memory controllerSM Bus controllerUSB controllerVideo controller Your help will be greatly appreciated. Cobus (South Africa)

Re: motherboard

Try this site should have the drivers for your equipment. Just checked and it is working today. The sites from asia are always a pain to get drivers from. Most manufacturers have either a US or European site as well.

I cant find ethernet driver for ep-9npa7i

I can't verify these work but it appears to have the files you need:

Try to right-click and download each file to a directory on your pc and then install it.

Good luck!

EPoX EP-9NPA7I displays 'F' and '5' post codes

I would start by clearing the CMOS with the reset jumper pin on your mainboard. Then remove all the PCI cards excluding the video card; disconnect the hard drive as well. Boot the computer without the RAM and see if you still get the "F post code." If not download a copy of Ubuntu Linux and burn it to a CD.

Ubuntu 8.10 Live CD

Reinstall the RAM modules and boot to Ubuntu from the CD and run "System Memory Scan" from the Ubuntu Boot Menu. I'm guessing your RAM over-heated and is permantly damaged.
Only the manufacturer knows what the error codes for your board represent; it'd email them from this support link...
