KDL-52W4100 intermittent sound loss...every 15 seconds or so it cuts out for ~2 seconds. Does not happen with DVD, only TV Wife said this happened once before and the Sony tech had her adjust some kind...

Are you using HDMI? Sony has problems with there HDMi connections. If you are using a cable or sat box you could try swapping with your DVD connection to see if the problem follows the box or goes away. It will help narrow down problem anyway.

We finished watching a dvd movie with the sony surond sound dvd player and tried to go back to satalite and all i could get was no sig changed to all inputs and still nothing . I finally changed the cable...

Unplug, replug the tv about an hour later let the tv reset itself.Go into the tv menu,go to PICTURE go down to reset, this to reset ur tv Tuner signal board back to the factory setting. Those HDMI ports 1 and 2 should work again. Not than,ur Tuner signal board is defective,or the HDMI port 1 is shorted and dead.

All you need to do is follow the following directions on your TV and you will be on your way listening to your great Philips TV on your great Sony Surround Sound. You do not need to buy any other cords or anything else. Its just a setting on your TV that needs to be adjusted.
By the way, I have a Sony Home Thearte System DAV-HDX275 and I've had it for almost 8 months and its sounds good with my TV and Movies. The speakers are very cheap and it doesn't give you the sound you expect. So I came accross some Boston Accustics CR65's that are not sold anymore but they did run around $700 a peice. I am upgrading the Reciever very soon to a better qualtiy Reciever. This Surround Sound System is great for a starter Surround Sound System.
  1. Press MENU on the remote control and select TV settings >
  2. Press up or down to highlight a sound setting and press right to select the setting.
  3. Press up or down to adjust the setting, and press OK to confirm the change.
  4. Press Menu to exit.
You want to pick Incredible Surround, but if that does not work try them all. The Incredible Surround should do the trick because that switches it from the TV Speakers to the Surround Sound.

Thank you for using Fix Ya!

Connect dvd home theatre system to bravia lcd digical tv

Amongst 3 audio and 3 video options on DVD, use only one for displaying picture on TV and one for getting sound.
Yellow Wire is for picture.
Red Wire is for sound.
White Wire is for sound.

Connect Yellow from TV to yellow at DVD
Red from TV to Red at DVD
White from TV to White at DVD

Hope this help.....
