SOURCE: Thread getting caught underneath
you need to replace your shukle that holds the tread bobbing below.it is either slack or broken . if it is slack then you tighten the little screw that holds a cover that gives the thread tension .if its broken then replace it.once the thread is slack below it will cause your thread to bundle up.
SOURCE: Check upper thread
These machines typically have threading issues. In the thread path, there is a sensor that reads the thread. It quite often gets lint and pieces of thread. Where the thread goes through the thread path on the upper read is usually the culprit. Take off the plastic cover where the thread goes from rear towards front...look for the metal plates and carefully clean between them. You also need to make sure that thread goes all the way to the inside of these discs. I try to always pull the thread from spool and thread end to make sure it gets properly seated.
SOURCE: will not pick up bobbin thread
Unusual for this machine. Check to be sure the needle is inserted with the flat side to the back of the machine. If it is, remove the needle plate, bobbin and bobbin case. Turn the hand wheel slowly toward you and see if the point of the hook is above or below the eye of the needle when the hook point is aligned behind the needle. If the eye is above the point of the hook the machine is out of time and best taken to qualified technician.
