How do I connect my Logitech wireless mouse to my computer

I use Logitech wireless mice and so does my wife. After a battery change you have to reconnect the mouse with the wireless receiver
. First push the button on the receiver, then push the button on the bottom of the mouse. It should connect and you will be ready to go. If this doesn't get the mouse working, you may have to unplug the mouse, then plug it back in the USB port, then reconnect to the receiver. Hope that helps.

Purchased new laptop and wireless mouse, first day worked great, after a week tried to use mouse again.....just not working have replaced battery no luck

I would try unplugging the usb receiver and restarting the computer.
Then plug it back in.
Sadly, with these, along with replacing the battery, that's the only option.

Handheld mouse will not work. Has been sitting for 1 week. Installed new batteries. Targus model #AMP01.

Make sure that your computer is turned on and has detected the USB receiver before you establish a communications link.
The light emitter diode (LED) illuminates to indicate your computer has detected the receiver.
1 Press and release the Connection button on the receiver.
The receiver's LED turns off.
2 Press and release the Connection button, located on the bottom of the presenter. The receiver's LED resumes glowing when the set up has been completed.
You are now ready to use the presenter.

Hello my GE ergonomic wireless mini mouse #98564, connects with my computer sometimes and not others. Currently it will not connect, it has new batteries, dings when the card is inserted into port, but...

I have been fighting with several of these GE Wireless Mice. Pressing the connect buttons on the mouse and USB receiver would not re-connect the mouse. As some ohere posting have pointed out, that little white circle on the usb plug shows where to squeeze to trigger the receiver to re-connect. When you've squeezed correctly, the red LED in the USB pug starts flashing brightly - not a dim flicker. You are supposed to then press the connect buttom under the mouse. Immediately the flashing LED on the receiver should go off, and your mouse should be ready to go. Each time you move the mouse, the same LED in the USB plug should flicker to show activity.

I have tried all this so many times without luck. Even replaced the mouse batteries several times - from the same pack.

Here is my 'FIX'. I think this mouse is very tight on the voltage it needs from the batteries. You need absolutely brand new, full power, good shape batteries. Bateries that look OK in another device, might not work in this mouse.

If you have a test meter and know how to use it, find a couple of batteries that are giving at least 1.6v each - more if possible. Pop these in, do the connect process above, and there is a good chance it will connect up fine.

Good luck.

Spyder mouse won't work

I had a similar problem. I corrected by performing a manual connect as listed in the manual that came with the mouse.
Manual reconnect:
1. Plug in the receiver.
2. Turn on the mouse.
3. Press the button on the receiver.
4. Press the connect button on the mouse once within five seconds of pressing the button on the receiver.

This worked for me, and the mouse has worked fine since.

If this doesn't work. The manual suggested taking the batteries out of the mouse for 20 seconds and unplugging the receiver, then repeat the steps above.
If that doesn't work. reboot the computer and repeat the steps above.

Hope this helps.

Keyboard not working

To connect the keyboard or mouse to the computer, you must connect the wireless device through the USB port and get it to hold a good connection. You do not have to install any devices to use these products, they automatically work when you plug them in. When it says that the device is recognized, you are ready to use it! If you have a desktop, you can also plug the wireless device to the mouse port. The keyboard and mouse work properly up to 5' away from the connected wireless device. If you can get the wireless device to work properly, you should have no troubles with the product.

LX7 cordless optical mouse with dongle

Hello,

Had the same problem. But before filling the logitech RMA from to get a replacement, I put new batteries into the mouse and the mouse worked again.
I am using rechargeable batteries, and I seems to me even if the green light on the bottom of the mouse is on, the driver warning for low battery does not come on. May be the volage drops to fast with a older set of batteries.

Try out new batteries. Hope this helps.
I am using the LX7 mouse for more than 2 years with lost of abuse (>10x drops from shoulder hight to hard office floor, sitting dongle in my pocket and dropping my backpack onto the floor with the dongle on the botton in the backpack).

Regards.

The touchpad mouse fails to click on items then when we plug in a usb mouse the same thing happens. it just will not click and stay clicked long enough to change settings.

You may want to try shutting down the computer, and plugging in the USB mouse normally USB mice are ready to go. also make sure the mouse has fresh batteries, if it uses them. If neither of these works check your mouse settings in your "Control panel"
