Lift the handset, whereon the word 'handset' will display on the console. At that point you can use the up or down arrow on the round raised console key-pad to turn the volume louder or softer.

How do I get my older Panasonic hand set phone to ring on an incoming call?

The KX-TGA401C handset works with the KX-TG401x, KX-TG403X and KX-TG651x phone systems among others. If you have the appropriate base, see the suggestions below.

Does your handset read Ringer Off? Try setting the ringer volume. With the phone system in standby (no calls in or out for any handset), press Menu. Navigate using the Up/Down arrows to Initial Settings. Press Menu/OK. Navigate to Ringer Settings and press OK. Press OK again to enter the Ringer Volume sub-menu. Use the Up/Down arrows to set the ringer volume and press OK to save. Press Off to exit the menu system.

The other possibility is that the handset is not registered to the base. Note: only 6 handsets can be registered to the base. If you previously registered 6 handsets, you need to deregister some of them.
To register the handset, hold the handset near the base since you will need to press buttons on both. Press Menu on the handset and navigate to and enter Initial Settings. Navigate to Registration and press OK. Navigate to HS Registration and press OK. On the base, press and hold the Locator button for 5 seconds and the registration tone sounds. Press OK on the handset you are trying to register. If all the registered handsets start ringing, you triggered the Locate handset function. Press the Locator button again. Then do the press and hold step again. Only press OK on the handset when you hear the registration tone.

You can find the manual for the KX-TG4011 here: https://shop.panasonic.com/support-only/KX-TG4011N.html . The direct link to the manual is https://ftp.panasonic.com/telephone/om/kx-tg4011_mul_om.pdf . See page 21 for the directions to set the ringer volume.

I hope this helps.

Can't turn ringer on cordless panasonic KX-TGA402C phone. How do i turn it on?

KX-TGA402C is the included handset for a Panasonic cordless phone system like the KX-TG4011C. You should be able to adjust the ringer volume from the Initial Settings menu. With the phone system in standby, press Menu on one handset. Use the Up/Down arrows to locate the Initial Settings. Press OK. Then select Ringer settings and press OK. Select Ringer Volume and press OK. Use the Up/Down arrows to set the desired Ringer volume and press OK to save. Press Exit to leave the menu system. Alternatively, you can adjust the ringer volume by pressing the Volume Up/Down buttons while the phone is ringing.

The manual for the KX-TG4011 is available from Panasonic here: ftp://ftp.panasonic.com/telephone/om/kx-tg4011_mul_om.pdf . If the above steps aren't working, check that your handset and phone base are properly paired (registered handset). Also check that the base has power and connected to a working phone line. Also make sure that the handset is fully charged.

I hope this helps.

Turn ringer on for panasonic KX-TGA273S cordless phone

The handset for the Panasonic KX-TGA273S needs to be paired with a compatible Panasonic cordless phone system like the KX-TG2700. You can turn on the handset ringer by pressing Conf/Function on the handset (lower left) when it is in standby mode. Scroll through the list to Ringer setting with the appropriate arrow keys. Press the right arrow key and scroll to Ringer volume. Press the right arrow. Then press the up arrow and press the soft key for save. This sets the ringer to low. Use the up/down arrows to set the volume. Note: pressing down repeatedly sets the ringer volume to Off. Press Save and End to exit the menu.

The manual for the KX-TGA273S is available on the product page: http://shop.panasonic.com/support-only/KX-TGA273S.html . The direct link to the manual is currently ftp://ftp.panasonic.com/accessory/phone_fax/om/kx-tga273s_mul_om.pdf . See page 19, https://www.manualslib.com/manual/303875/Panasonic-Kx-Tg2700.html?page=19#manual .

I hope this helps.

Is there a volume adjustment for hand set on KX-T7640

Since a 7640 has no *handset* (it's a DSS console) that's going to be tough to do. However, since it attaches to a 763x phone, the answer is, use the Navigator volume up arrow with the handset held to your ear.

As simple as changing the time.

A 7640 has on display, so it's going to be a tough assignment. I'm guessing it sits next to a 7636 and that DOES have a display.

If it's extension 101 or programming is allowed from that set, press PROG, dial **1234 and ENTER then ENTER (note it changes soft key positions)

You should be looking at program 000 which is the date and time.
The FWD button steps the display forward and the ENTER will save the new time when you're completely done, then, I think you get an EXIT key, or pick up the handset and set it back down to exit.
