First, backup your data on phone's memory to memory card like contacts, messages, etc. And then perform a master reset by enter *#7370# from standby screen, the standard phone's code for nokia is 12345. After all, you should to backup all of your data from memory card to PC, and then format your memory card and restore all of your data from PC to memory card. Good luck.....
I had this problem before with my Nokia N73.
(After 3-4 hours on hold to various nokia helpdesk operators...) The problem turned out to be that I had too many SMS/MMS messages stored.
I deleted them all, and the problem resolved itself!
