HIgh temp. I have a refr. whirlpool WCB482 ,we can hear a beep sound and lights blink ,the temp. on top of the upper side look high. What should I do?

See my tip for buzzing dryer. Check Owner's manual, Troubleshooting. Sounds like air is not moveing and High temp cut off saftey switch doesn't like the lack of air flow. Duct clean? Check air flow from the outdoor vent. Clean vent tube/s

II might need the actual model number. However, you can go to page 9 on this manual and check if the flashing options can fix the problem. I am assuming you have already tried to turn the power off and back on.

The ohter thing to try is the reset sequence. Within 6-7 secs press High Temp/ Heat Dry/ High Temp/ Heat Dry/ High Temp/ Heat Dry. All lights should light up, press Start button to exit.

The chair is in lock mode. To unlock, turn on, when the lights start to scroll, push the joystick forward and keep it there until you hear the beep. When it beeps, pull it back and wait for the beep, once the beep sounds let go and listen, if you hear a high pitch beep, success. If it doesn't work the first time, just do it again. Sometimes it may not work right away but don't panic, just follow the steps again.

Try pushing high temp wash>heated dry>High temp wash>Heated dry   that should reset the control but it will most likely come back count the number of flashes before a pause.it's an error code could be a heating cycle failure.
 If the control doesn't reset you have a control or touch pad issue.

Depending on the pitch. humming noises are either a motor ie: fan motor or if it is very low a defective capacitor . Since you have the yellow band and the high pitched beep my fist thought is somthing defective in the power supply. Take it to an authorized servicer.

I too had Flashing Clean light and only responded to Cancel light by trying to drain. Whirlpool Model DU1145. I too got problem to clear by pushing High temp,Heated dry, High temp and Heated dry. All lights on display lit up then it went through sequences of all cycles.
