Ana; Possible you do have a bad Live neutral or grounding AC plug on wall. Your new one quit in one day , it is possible when your ac line is sparking or bad connection. The main controller or power board or main controller this faulty. Your old one possible has a power issue. You need to ask electrician first to check your ac wall where the ref is connected.

No, it is not a failed condenser. You need to see if the compressor is running though. When it runs you shaould have a fan in the freezer running, a fan underneath the fridge running, and the compressor should be running. I would be willing to bet that either the compressor is bad, or the start relay on the compressor.

Call who you bough it from and tell them and they will check it out. If it is under a year old, it is under warranty. Be sure to turn the controls to the mid settings and wait 20 minutes (it could be in a defrost cycle). If nothing happens after 20 minutes, make the call.

Check the door switch.

Hello. I do not work for Sears but I do work on lots of appliances. Do not put 500 into a computer board.

All appliances these days are designed to last about 7 years. If yours last longer, consider yourself lucky.

The good news is a new fridge and a new freezer will use much less electricity and will save you money within a couple of years.

You must pull fridge out the water valve is in the bottom back. Sounds like the valve is stuck open. You can Google your model# to find appliance parts to order new valve.
