Question about Kenmore Refrigerators
Ana; Possible you do have a bad Live neutral or grounding AC plug on wall. Your new one quit in one day , it is possible when your ac line is sparking or bad connection. The main controller or power board or main controller this faulty. Your old one possible has a power issue. You need to ask electrician first to check your ac wall where the ref is connected.

there is a tab in the bottom of the light socket that can get bent so that it wont touch the base of the new bulb. unplug your refrig and use a small screw driver and bend the tab back out a little bit so that it will contact the new bulb...

No, it is not a failed condenser. You need to see if the compressor is running though. When it runs you shaould have a fan in the freezer running, a fan underneath the fridge running, and the compressor should be running. I would be willing to bet that either the compressor is bad, or the start relay on the compressor.
