the problem could be in charger or battery,if the problem is in charger,try to charge it wit your laptop or else try to charge your iphone battery with a battery charger,if it doest work try a different battery

First try cleaning your charging socket then check whether the battery is working at all

Try resetting it, Mine has only done this once and it was fixed by restarting it (hold the power button and home button until it turns off, then press the power button to turn it on)

It can also be the battery. Maybe you need to change it.
