I have a Hitachi 50DX10B 2001 model it has lines rolling from top to bottom and appear lighter than the actual picture this problem comes and goes

A photo may tell what the problem is---do you have the same trouble with a DVD etc playing? Faint lines moving bottom to top could be a bad cable lead with a poor ground(shield) If it never does it with a DVD thru one of the rear inputs--suspect a problem with a cable wire connected to the set.
