But my case is that the power supply can charge the battery. Other than that, no other light is on.
This tablet worked perfectly without any problem until yesterday. I received a message in response to my wanted post on craigslist. I found this message in SPAM folder and I opened it. The guy says: Please click the link to see the picture of the item so that you can find if it is what you want. I did but nothing coming out and there was no picture. Since then, the computer became slower and frozen frequently. I then realized that this guy must have sent the same message to many people and it might contain virus. I tried virus scan several times but always stopped at 60% completion. I also tried system restoration, failed too. After I turned it off, it has refused to turn on at all.
I tried to remove the battery, remove the memory chips, replace the CMOS battery, nothing worked.
Please help!
May be its lustred try to borrow another charger like your charger and if nothing happen buy new charger In spam the anti virus in your computer is always updated and if not always updated may harm your files and is not term in your charger

If its doing it while its plugged into the power supply, either the power supply has gone bad, the battery is completely dead (many laptops need a battery inserted that works even if it is plugged in), or the motherboard has failed.
A new battery ranges from $30-90, power supplies go from $10-150 and motherboards could be very expensive to replace, in many cases it would cost more than the laptop is worth if its 3+ years old. A light of some kind should come on when you plug the power supply in to the laptop, even if you havent tried to turn it on. That is the best indicator that it is working. You can test the power supply by using a volt meter, put the probe on the outside ring and another probe on the inside pin. You can switch in case the polarity is reversed and doesnt register anything on the volt meter.
If this is an older laptop that you've had for a long time, it might be a good time to think about just getting a new one, there are some very inexpensive options out there, you can get the data off your old laptop by pulling the drive out and connecting it with a IDE or SATA drive adaptor (also very inexpensive).
You need to beg, borrow or steal another known good power supply/charger unit and see if that works. You see if yours in faulty, its not charging the battery or supplying power to the laptop.
If nothing glows after that it could be the charger circuit on *********** board or just the power connector on the motherboard .
Toshiba Satellite R15-S822 Tablet: Battery is charged and operational power supply (charging light is on) is plugged into power port on back side of laptop: Problem is sliding "power on" switch does not start laptop - no sign of any electrical activity...
Question 1: Will the tablet operate on the docking station (or power cord) without the battery in place?
If not, the power circuit on the tablet motherboard is broken.
Question 2: If you plug in the power cord into the tablet, is the connection "loose"?
Check the other tablet to see if it is the same loosness at the tablet power connector.
If it is loose, the power receptical in the tablet can be soldered back onto the motherboard.
Recommend taking it into a shop to re-solder.
If under warranty, get it repaired.
If not under warranty, your choice if you want to use it they way it is.
Note: do not plug your laptop if not using this. this will damage to your battery this the most common cause of battery problem due to over charged without unplugged. pls remove after charge. this can also damage to your main board from power supply section. thanks [email protected]
