Free space on my external hdd
I have a Western Digital Elements external HDD, and it says I have 130Gig of free space. When I try to copy over a 6Gig file, it says my drive is full.
Now, I have entered the Recycle Bin on the HDD and emptied it, there seem to be no errors on the drive. Help please!

- I deleted old files from FireLite 40 GB remote HD to make room for new backup. FireLite shows as empty using finder mode (Mac OS X 10.4.11). Backup program states the firelite has insufficient room. Therefore files must still be there in an invisable mode. How do i remove them?- GuestBest Solution

You need to run a virus scan, there could be some infection which is making it misread the amount of empty space and if the disk has several partitions are those partitions formated?
