You only need to prime one to three times or fuel will come out the overflow .this is normal, prime less and use the choke for the first couple of pulls then turn it to half and squeeze the throttle,it should start.

How do you change a craftsman 32cc weedwacker gas filter in the gas tank?

Hi davemac918...
I used a long pair of tweesers to grab the filter, but you can also grab it with a piece of wire with a hook bent on the end of it large enough to fit the tubing the filter is inserted into.
Hook the filter tubing, and pull the filter to the top of the tank and manuver it out of the tank.

My 32cc craftsman trimmer won't start. i looked in the gas tank and there was a small tube floating around along with a black piece that was attached to the cap.

The leash to hold the cap is a common item to break and really doesn't need to be repair unless it bothers you or leaks. The tube that is loose is probably the cause of not starting. It is likely that the fuel line(s) have broken and are not allowing fuel to the carb. Your trimmer should have 2 line. The smaller diameter line will connect to the fuel pickup filter in the tank. The larger line is a return line and has a small plastic fitting on the inside of the tank that keeps it from slipping out. The replacement lines are available from you local mower repair guy or from www.searspartsdirect.com . If you choose not to tackle this yourself, the local shop will probably charge $25 to $45 for this repair.
Good luck!

Repairing fuel line on craftsman 32cc weed trimmer.

Cut the end of the line at a sharp angle. Spray WD-40 on the line and fuel tank hole. Slowly screw the line in the tank far enough so you can connect the fuel filter if you are replacing that line. If not just push the line into the tank if you have a two line system. Remember on the fuel primer, the long tip has the line going to the tank, and the short tip has the fuel line going to the carb.

HOW DO I REPLACE THE FUEL LINES ON MY 32CC CARFTMAN LINE TRIMMER? THERE ARE TWO LINES FROM THE TANK, TWO TO THE PRIMER BULB, AND TWO TO THE CARB.

Take them off and put new ones on. Cut the old ones if they are hardened. Make sure you change the fuel filter too.

Have craftsman 32cc gas line trimmer it runs until given gas

Replace the spark plug, clean the air filter and fill the tank with new fuel at the correct fuel oil ratio. Had the same problem last year. Tried to cheat with year old gas.
