Error 18G0W012 is not reported anywhere. The problem seems being firmware/software related. Try contacting Westinghouse and see if they have a firmware or software update available for this unit.
If they have an update you will receive a link for the download, and then you will have to burn a CD to play in the DVD.

There should be a V-Chip update on Westighouse website. Before doing any update contact them. Upgrading with wrong update may damage your unit.

Problem is either from the inverter or the screen itself. But faults like this usually comes from the inverter.
The job of the inverter is to bring out display on the screen. So if the screen is not bringing displaying anymore, the first thing to check would be the inverter.
The inverter is a long rectangular chip usually found under the screen.
To confirm it's actually an inverter problem, connect the player to a TV and there should be a display.
The challenge now is how to get a replacement inverter because the replacement inverter for this player is scarce. You will have to look for one that is damaged, and remove it's inverter.
