Lost channels

We recently switched to a JUMBO remote control by Innovage as our old remote control quit working, even with new batteries. Last evening, the electricity was knocked out by lightening. Since then, we have only been able to get channels 2 through 13 on Cable One, our cable provider. They say that they can't reprogram our TV; we have to do that ourselves. Can you help? We have a Toshiba TV, approximately 13 years old.
