The moisture control sensor will determine the amount of moisture in your clothes and find out how long the drying time needed is.
If this does not work, you cannot efficiently dry your clothes. Sometimes, the dryer will also overdry your clothes. The first thing you need to do is to check the ventilation of your dryer. Slowly pull it forward from the wall where you have installed it. Unplug the dryer first. Carefully remove the exhaust hose.
While the exhaust hose is detached, plug the dryer again and run a short drying load. If it is working, there might be something clogging our exhaust hose. Lint may have accumulated in the dryer. You need to remove clogged particles by using a shop vacuum.

There are a couple of reasons why you are experiencing one of the most common Maytag Neptune problems-trouble heating up. The first one is because of a faulty thermal fuse. If the thermal fuse is switched on or off incorrectly, you should have it replaced.
You can purchase this part for $10 per piece. The thermal fuse is responsible for regulating temperature inside the dryer. If it senses that the temperature is turning up too much, it aborts the operation. As a result, it will not completely dry your clothes.

Here is a link to the thermal fuse if you find this is the problem.

No heat in my gas dryer, ignitor replaced, and sensor dry level does not light? I miss my dried clothes!

It sounds like your thermal fuse blew which is very cheap and easy to replace. Unplug your dryer and gain access to the back panel. Remove the panel and locate the thermal fuse. It is usually a white piece of plastic about 1/2" wide and 1 1/2" long with two wires attached to it. (Generally located near the bottom left as your looking at it) Unplug the two wires and unscrew the screw holding it in place. Replace it with the new one and reassemble everything. Good luck!

Dryer has warmth but clothes are not drying. vent is not clogged, temp set at regular, drum is turning What could be the Problem?

Hi

If the dryer is not drying the clothes then you would need to check for the following things-

Electric Dryer---

1. Inspect the fuses and circuit breakers they may have burned out or tripped. Usually, dryer will still tumble but not create heat if a fuse or a circuit breaker is not working.

2. Check for the amp reading at 240 V, it should have reading of 24, 21 and 3 amp (approx.) for 2 lines and neutral respectively.

3. Heating element may have turned or the connection to the element might be loose. Sometimes a shorted circuit element will keep on blowing the fuse or circuit breaker.

4. Motor wiring shorting to ground.

Gas Dryer---

1. Inspect the fuses and circuit breakers they may have burned out or tripped. Usually, dryer will still tumble but not create heat if a fuse or a circuit breaker is not working.

2. Check for the continuity of the heating element in your gas dryer using a multimeter. Replace the element if continuity is not there.

3. Inspect the thermal fuse if it is burnt out, it is attached to the exhaust duct on the back panel of the gas dryer. Replace if necessary.

4. Check the igniter by first disconnecting it, and then place the probes onto the two contacts of the igniter. The meter should read under 100 Ohms of resistance, if it is above 100 then replace the igniter.

5. Check the continuity on the flame sensor. The sensors are usually located close by the igniter so are easily visible.

Hope this helps...

I have a maytag neptune gas dryer and out of a sudden it stopped heating. excellent air flow but no heat

OPEN THE DOOR, TAKE OFF THE FOUR SCREWS, REMOVE PANEL. CLOSE DOOR AND TURN ON MACHINE. LOOK UNDER AND YOU WILL SEE THE BURNER ASSEMBLY. IF THE IGNITOR DOES NOT GLOW, YOU HAVE A BLOWN THERMAL FUSE. IF IT GLOWS BUT WOULD NOT LIGHT UP, YOU HAVE A BAD RADIANT SENSOR OR YOUR HIGH LIMIT THERMOSTAT SHORTED OUT. IF YOUR THERMOSTAT HAS A RESET BUTTON, PUSH IT IN AND YOU WILL HEAR A CLICK, THAT WILL SOLVE YOUR PROBLEM. GOOD LUCK

Whirl pool dryer LEC9000PW0 will not turn on

Has a household fuse blown or has a circuit breaker tripped?
There may be 2 household fuses or circuit breakers for the dryer. Make sure both fuses are intact and tight, or that both circuit breakers have not tripped. Replace the fuse(s) or reset the circuit breaker(s). If the problem continues, call an electrician.
Is the correct power supply available? (Electric dryers only)
Electric dryers require 240-volt power supply. Check with a qualified electrician.
Is the dryer door firmly closed?
Your dryer door may not be fully closed. It may look shut, but may not be latched. Push on the door to engage the latch or latches. Some models have an upper and lower latch. Both latches must be secure for the dryer to run.
Was the Start, Push to Start or Hold to Start button firmly pressed?
Large loads may require the Start, Push to Start, or Hold to Start button to be pressed and held for two to five seconds.
Is the Cycle Control knob set on a Sensor Dry or Timed Dry cycle? (on some models)
The Cycle Control knob must be set in a Automatic Dry or AccudryTM or Timed Dry cycle. The dryer will not start if set on the Wrinkle ShieldTM option.
Is Controls Locked status light on? (on some models)
Press and hold the Cycle Signal button for three seconds. This will turn off the Controls Locked feature.
Did you recently install a power supply cord on the dryer? (Electric dryers only)
The power supply cord may be incorrectly installed. If the power cord is incorrectly installed, the dryer may not start or heat. Review the Installation Instructions to check that the power supply cord is properly installed.
