I've found that a couple of cleaners will work.
You can try Simple Green full strength as it doesn't have any nasty fumes and cuts grease really well.
The other is sudsy ammonia, but I personally can't stand the odor when using this.
Another helpful tip is to warm the oven to about 200 degrees before you clean the glass, as that will help soften the gunk (that's a technical term!) and make cleaning it easier. Just turn the oven off and let it cool for about 5 minutes before you start cleaning the glass with the Simple Green (or the ammonia ugh!)
Now clean away with a decent sponge and paper towels.
Hope you found this very helpful and best regards!

- OK, you can use a strong mixture of soapy ammonia and warm water (3/4 ammonia to 1/4 water) and apply it with a sponge and allow it to soak into the gunk. Keep working at it until you have removed the buildup, it will take some work, but it will disolve the gunk a little at a time.
Keep rinsing the sponge in clean water, not the mixture, and you'll get it cleaned up.
