I have a Magic Chef portable washer model # MCSTCw16W2 that has recently stopped pumping. Will pump water one cycle and not the next. Can hear the pump 'click' on then slight hum but no action.

SOURCE: refrigerator will not cool

there is a fault in compressor motor the clicking is the overload cutting off,If its a relay on the motor its worth repairing,If its the whole motor it would be too costly,I know
its not what you want to hear, but thats the size of it.the relay is in a black plastic box on the motor itself,I hope its that

SOURCE: Washer fills/agitates and stops prior to draining

If pump works fine or still pumps out water, then it is a timer malfunction. Replace the timer and you should be fine. To locate a part number for your timer, refer to www3.sears.com with the model number off your washer.

SOURCE: Front Loader Frigidaire will not drain model no. LTF530FSO

check to make sure all hoses are not clogged - our washer hose before the pump was clogged due to washing a rug that had deteriorating rubber backing - would not drain until I flushed out the hose that goes from the tub t the pump.

SOURCE: dish washer that does not pump out the water on it"s final cycle

I had this same problem and after having the repairman over to our house several times and having the circuit board changed, I figured it out on my own...

It turns out that the pressure created from the steam during the water heating stage (HO) was pushing on the door latch just enough to prevent the motor from running properly. Because the door wasn't latched completely, the water wouldn't drain and the dishwasher would go to the "Drying" cycle without ever pumping the water out of the basin.

I adjusted the levelling on the DW and that helped, but I'm still not sure that the problem is fixed. We may need a new latch assembly.

To test this, when the DW stops running at any time, push on the door. If the motor kicks back on, this is the problem.

SOURCE: Pump just stopped working one day. It was working fine the day before. Hums when submerged but does not pump.

It sounds like your filter is plugged, Take the filter cover off and rinse out your filter, it should take care of the problem. I clean my filter out every 2-3 days.

Having a water leak in the left front of the machine at the bottom. Can't determine cause.

Either there is a leak in drum or one of the hoses and/or fittings under unit is leaking.

Gonna have to roll up your sleeves and check it out.

Cycle starts, but does not fill with water

When I start a new cycle, I first hear the pump run to empty out all remaining water, and after that I hear the motor run for the regular washing cycle, but there is no water in the dishwasher. After a few minutes, the cycle stops, and the washer claims the dishes are 'clean'. When I try starting a new cycle over and over again, about one in 20 times, the cycle will run normally with water. But then the next time, the problem starts all over again. Once a cycle starts correctly, everything works fine, including the rinsing.

Magic Chef frig model MCBR1000F stopped cooling after 4 years.

You need to make sure the condenser pump and coils are vacuumed twice a year. Heavy dust will overheat the coils causing the freon to be more of a gas then a liquid, thus less coiling.
