No Video Output - HP 6635 Desktop minitower - CPU Intel CELEROM 533Mhz

It happenned just like that,
the last time I was booting the computer,
the video output was displayed on the monitor.

Then I shutdown the computer and reboot, and
I get no more otput on the monitor. It just display a message
in a BLUE BOX saying: "Please check video cable connection".

I tested with an other monitor...same thing exept the message
displayed on the monitor was: "No Signal"

any ideas of what theproblem might be ??

If it is a problem with the onboard video card, what can I do
to have it replace ?? do I change the motherboard or can I
pluggin a PCI or AGP video card ? If I do so, any on board settings I have to change ?

I dont have the motherboard manual !!!!

thanks for your time and help :-)

Re: No Video Output - HP 6635 Desktop minitower - CPU...

If you have changed the monitor and the same no signal have you noticed a beep sound? or can you see the green and red light in front of cpu? if both of this doesn't light it's power supply and if there are led lights (green&red) lighting but there is a continous beep sound the problem is the on board video card. if a sound short beep, beep the problem is your memory card.

I have use intel d102ggc2 motherboard and it support 2gb ddr2 667mhz why?

The motherboard supports an Intel processor, with Up To, an 800MegaHertz Front Side Bus. (800MHz FSB)

Ram memory typically operates at half of the Processor's,
FSB frequency rate. ('Speed')

If you have a Processor with an 800MHz FSB, typically you would want ram memory that operates at 400MHz.

Ram memory at 533MHz is pushing it. Still operates at 533MegaHertz, though.

[Mega = Approximately 1 Million

Hertz stands for Cycles per Second. Named after a man with the last name of Hertz.

Frequency rate is proper speak.
'Speed' is slang brought out by Intel advertising, so everyone could understand better.
'Speed' = Frequency Rate.

DDR2 Sdram at 667MHz?
Means it can operate, UP TO ,a frequency rate of 667 Million Cycles per Second ]

I'll bet your DDR2 Sdram at 667MHz, is clocked down.
Bet it isn't running at 667MHz. More like 533MHz.

Replacing the motherboard and/or cpu on an Emachine T2958

Your motherboard can handle a P4 2.8Ghz chip with 1MB cache or you could go to the P4 3.06Ghz chip with 512KB cache. And either one would give you a bit of a performance improvement. I think the bigger question would be: is there any place locally where you could get a screamin' deal on a motherboard/CPU package that would still support the memory your currently have?

A motherboard replacement would not require you go purchase a new retail MS OS. It would require re-activation of your current product though which could entail a toll-free phone call to Microsoft and your existing product key.

Bios problem

Are you using the ON BOARD video output? or are you using an external video card?
Was the computer working and you installed SOFTWARE to enhance something?

I will assume the you know how to get into the BIOS setup to tell your cpu the diffenrnt configurations?!!
1st)Replace the VGA video card with anything...does not have to be FANCY, FANCE. and reboot...same problem? not the same problem?
2nd) take everything out of the desktop except memory and boot up.
continue adding hardware (one at a time) and reboot. If the message comes up..AFTER you've installed a hardware....that is the problem.

1333 FSB processor only runs with fsb set to 1066 in bios

RIArchangel, you're board is not able to run 1333fsb; it can only run at 1066fsb. Though setting the bios to auto should not cause the system to lock up, unless you are over-clocking other settings in the system bios.
Changing you're memory to the faster dual channel 667 will increase the systems over all performance but it will not change the fact that the board can only run at 1066fsb.
If you have the time, take a read over this link. 1333fsb over 1066fsb.
Feeling spunky? You can test you're CPU with this free software. Scroll down a bit until you see, CPU Stability Test,7146-order,1-page,1-c,alldownloads/description.html

If I can help you further, feel free to post.

No video output - Desktop HP minitower Pavilion 6635 - cpu Intel Celerom 533Mhz

Try either a pci or AGP card. On most boards, it will recognize the card without changing anything on the board. Does the hard drive and other components power up? Just the video not working ? If so it is probably the chip on the video, if not it could be a board failure.
