Problem with Lexmark X2500 All-In-One Printer

Can the Lexmark No 14 and No 15 cartridges be refilled and reset? Is it just the A version that can be reused?

    • Dear Sirs

The answer that you have supplied regarding using loose inks to refil my LEXMARK cartridges No 14 and No 15 does not seem to work.

The contacts on No 14 are two above four towards the bottom and on the No 15 it is two above two rows of four.

      Are there any other solutions?

    • Have tried this but without success. The terminals seem to be different in the 14 and 15, so have tried both. The cartridges are not recognised. Any other ideas? Thanks.

Yes Yes Yes it worked for me too. I have a Lexmark x2670 with #14 (black ink cartridge) the one that came with the printer and I put tape on the bottom 4 points of the cartridge and went through the install cartridge steps that automatically came up including scanning what was printed and it is printing now. When printing you will see a question mark on the black printing status bar but who cares anyway. Praise the Lord!

It works, just used my #14 lexmark after refill. I put tape on the 4 bottom points of each sides. You will see 1 alone at the bottom and 3 in a group in the middle, tape the 4 and do the same on the other side. Put it back in the printer and it works... It will dispay a '?' on the ink cartridge level and status when you print.

    • I tried this fix, worked like a charm.. I counted 4 dots up on each and covered them with clear packing tape. I guess any thin tape would work. I wrapped around the edge so it wouldn't get lost in the machine .. And yes the level say "?".. but who cares

where is 4 bottom points do you mean?
can you explain it with some images?

If you tape over the Four vertical contacts of the nr 14, (on the right of catirage, so it makes contact with the left 4 vertical contacts on the printer) it will fool the printer, however i have done this and it does fool the printer, Still gives me a error saying that it needs replacingand won't finnish print job, will try and restart both printer and computer.

    • I am from greece and i don't understant a few things such as what tape ( i use scotch tape) and where we have to put the tape. can you please explain what to you mean the Four vertical contacs of the number 14 (it has no only four but 27... wich four of them??? pls help me)

That tape trick doesn't work, it only tells the printer that, there is an error with the black cartridge, then the printer wil use the colour cartrige to make a black colour, by mixing colours. I bet if u remove the colour cartridge, it won't print wit the black cartridge.
