Hello Clyde, you can connect your EQ2 to the JVC RX 8000v
I sent you the user manual of the JVC RX 8000v to guide you
you have to connect it as if it were a cassette
From the Rec Out of the Cover or MD, in the JVC to the equalizer line input and the equalizer line output to Play In in the JVC
this you can see on page 6
I hope you get it connected
Greetings Franco Dosil

SOURCE: I recently bought the yamaha

The EQ is connected via one of the Tape loops on the amp (rec out from EQ to play in on amp,rec out on amp to play in on EQ). You then switch "Tape Monitor" on to hear the sound with the EQ settings applied. You can also connect it across Pre out and Main in should you have such sockets. I'm pretty sure it will only affect the main two front channels and not the surround channels.

SOURCE: I have a Crest Audio V900, a set of Bose 901, a Gemini EQ-3000. Do I need a PREAMP? Or can I hook up the Crest AMP to the Equalizer?

You could use the EQ but it won;t sound as good as it will with a pre amp and also could make it a bit trickier when adjusting the volume and getting it to sound right.

Testimonial: "Thank you very much. I wouldn't like to mess up my Bose. So I guess It's better to buy a PREAMP and then connect accordingly. Once again, thank you for your time and concern , oh, and your most valuable information."

How do I hook up Pioneer GR 470 EQ to my Sherwood RX 4105 receiver? I have Pioneer M403 's changer hooked up already

Normally you would hook up the EQ to the tape recorder in and outs of the Sherwood. This way if it has a tape monitor button, you can press that and all the functions would pass into the EQ.

Yamaha eq 32

The RX-150 does not have preamp out and power amp in connections. However, if you wish you can take the line level signal from tape OUT (assume it has one) and feed that into your Yamaha EQ. The OUT from the Yamaha can then be fed into an independent stereo power amplifier and then to your speakers. You would then be using your RX-150 only as a pre-amp. Alternatively, (professionals only) and I have done this several times, you can identify the output of the preamp stage inside the amp and bring this to a pair of RCA connectors cut into the back panel. Similarly, find the inputs to the power amps and do the same. For normal operation, bridge these. Otherwise, use these connection points to insert your EQ. This process, of course, requires that you are proficient at working with high voltage electronic devices. If you are not, take it to a professional who should be able to do this for very little cost. JVC, of course, would not consider this to be an acceptable modification. As always, take extreme care and never attempt anything you are not qualified to do, especially when it comes to electricity.
Cheers, Don.

My receiver only plays front speakers. when i put it in surround mode none of the speakers will play and the sub even in stereo mode is barely a whisper of sound. i dont have a remote for it but it goes...

you don't need a remote. to me sounds like you might have a connection problem. try and do a test tone which will send a test signal to all the speakers. starts from left to right etc. if you cant hear all the speakers you need to check all connection wires etc. hope this helps

It sounds like you want to use the external amp rather than the internal one. If that is the case, just connect the output of the EQ to the input of the external amp. All you are doing is inserting the EQ between the amp stages now. Using the mx-1 rather than the internal amp is no different.

Problem connecting optical connection

What device are you attempting to connect to your receiver? I would check to see if the device you want to connect is sending a digital signal to your receiver. With some dvd players the digital output isn't activated. You will have to go into the menu of the dvd player by using the remote and pressing menu or setup. Find something that involves audio, this setting maybe it PCM or Bitstream. If it is in PCM you will need to change it to bitstream to receive the Dolby Digital sound.

Also you may wish to check what mode the receiver is in. You may have to tell the receiver that you are using a digital input versus an analog one. Your owners manual may be useful with this step.

Let me know how it goes.
