Tax rate was automatically added up until yesterday evening went to ring in a tow and it wouldn't add it tried to set tax rate as described in manual and it still doesn't add it

SOURCE: How do you set a tax rate?!?!?
1. Switch off the calculator
2. Switch it on again
3. Press and hold the tax button (set %) until the display changes
4. Enter the new tax rate
5. Press the tax button (tax +)

I Finally figured it out after playing with it for almost 1/2 an hour!
Hit 2nd then Tax + (rate set) it will appear as 0.000 enter your tax rate... mine is 5% so I enter 5.0 then hit 2nd and Tax + (rate set again) And it will work!
It is glorious!!!
