SOURCE: LG Spilt A/C

medev,

there is a lot of reason why your LG split unit would not work by remote control.
first likely trouble is the remote itself. it could have drop from a height and broke the remote, or corrosion has set inside the remote if you left an old battery for a long time and it could have broken it.

secondly which is not more likely to happen is the remote receiver in your unit got broke that is why it can not communicate with your remote controller. it could happen if someone has serviced your evaporator and could have disconnected wires to the receiver , or wires were just left not connected.

you can test the remote if you have an identical unit which is working with a working remote. use the working remote to your unit then you can decide.
i hope i was able to help.

SOURCE: I have a hunter remote

There is no way. Only the manufacturer can reconfigure thw remote. That is part of the defect of this product.

If it works fine, leave it and just continue to use it.

Cheers.

SOURCE: remote control wall unit does not turn on Monte

Are the manual switches on the fan in the 'on' position?

Select the maximum fan speed on the remote and then operate the manual switch on the fan. Set that to the highest speed then control it with the remote.

Same theory applies to the light.

If this is not the problem then the remote receiver on the fan is probably faulty.

My water is not heating in heated toilet seat

Hi Nayana.

I'm having a hard time locating a manual, but dug a few things up for the seat. It appears to have temperature adjustments - it's unclear if there are manual ones, or if this is only from the remote control. It also appears to have a separate water tank, rather than a built-in heater. There is also a wall power cord for the heater and other valving / controls / actuators.

If the water is not heating, it could mean that:
  1. The water heater is not ever heating up the water, so you have water the temperature it came in at. That could be a bad heater element, or a broken temperature sensor. Any commercial device heating things that come into contact with people will be built so that if the temperature sensor fails, or a wire breaks, it'll default to not heating. That prevents fires and scalding. This may mean replacing the tank, the heater element, or the temp sensor. You'd have to take that up with the manufacturer.
  2. The temperature control hardware is malfunctioning. If it thinks the water is hot, even if it isn't then it won't heat it. Whatever sets the water temp, see if there's any change as you change the setting.
  3. The water is hot, but is cooling off before it gets to you. Not likely unless you have a hundred-foot-long transfer pipe from the tank.
  4. If it's the seat specifically and not the water, I don't know if the seat is heated by the water, or by an electric heater element. That could again be an issue of heater element, temperature sensor, or what temperature the control thinks it's set for.
  5. The system is unpowered. I don't know if the spray will still work if the system is unplugged. if it is unplugged, then you won't get heat. The reviews specifically say it's tapped into the wall water supply for the toilet, so it'll be cold water coming in.
I hope that helps you narrow it down. Do also make sure the batteries in the remote aren't dead. One review I saw said the remote tends to eat them quickly.

Happy Holidays!

The clean light is blinking. Dishwasher won't start

Hi

If clean light is blinking 7 times then it may be an issue with heater circuit, door switch or wash pump. If yes then please reset the power to the dishwasher. After, 5 minutes check if you are still getting the same error. If yes, then it is a water heating fault. To resolve this error try pressing this reset sequence-- Heat Dry - Normal - Heat Dry - Normal or High Temp - Air Dry - High Temp - Air Dry or Hi Temp Scrub, energy saver dry, Hi Temp Scrub, energy saver dry. Now let the unit run for 2-3 minutes and then you press the Cancel/Drain button and allow it to completely drain and reset.
If this doesn't work then it's an issue with the wash pump not pumping the water past the heater efficiently or due to lack of water to heat. Please make sure that heater is not open circuited and is heating the water efficiently. You'll have to check the heater using a multimeter; the meter should read between 3000 to 3300 ohms (Use multimeter on Rx1 ohm setting). If heater is fine then make sure water pressure is optimum and fill valve is working fine.

Hope this helps... Please post back for further assistance.

Cancel light and rinse only light keep blinking and wont start

Hello,

Hopefully you have resolved your issue. I have not heard of the cancel light flashing issue. I have had problems with the clean light flashing seven times over and over and the control panel will not operate. Here is the solution to that. Maybe it will work for your issue as well.

Open dishwasher door,
Push Hi Temp Scrub button,
Push Saver Dry button,
Push Hi Temp Scrub button again,
Push Saver Dry button again,
All lights on control panel will come on.
Close dishwasher door,
Push Baked on Cookware or Normal Button.
Dishwasher should start and complete cycle.

It is good if you have kids that play video games. Their fingers are used to pushing buttons quickly. I guess this resets the control board. The service guy let me have this info as I used to deliver appliances and work on them somewhat.Hope this helps.

Good Luck,
Tom

Lost my manual for RCR4358 remote control

Press and hold TV and Power buttons until light is red. Press PLAY once, if TV does not come on press again untill TV comes on. Then press REVERSE until TV goes off. Last, hold down STOP until light goes off. I had to do this a couple of times, but it worked!
Thank so much,
Jo Ann
