Re: Ipod Nano 2nd Gen. just clicks. Won't turn on
-
Step 1
Set your ipod horizontally on a flat surface with the LCD screen up. This position is
best because it allows you to apply even pressure to the different
buttons.
-
Step 2
Toggle
the hold switch a few times, and then make sure it is set to the
unlocked position. This will ensure that the buttons on the iPod are
not malfunctioning due to an active hold button.
-
Step 3
Press
the "menu" and the middle "select" button at the same time. It is very
important that these buttons be pressed in unison, or the iPod will not
reset.
-
Step 4
Hold
for 10 seconds. Keep the buttons pressed. You will see a black screen
with an Apple logo, with a status bar at the bottom. If the reset is
successful, your ipod
screen will return to normal after a minute or so.
