SOURCE: remote control

You can find the remote control codes for different brands of devices from
http://www.hifi-remote.com/ofa/codes-tv.shtml#tv

If none of the codes work then we have two other solutions:

1. Searching For Your Code

If you have tried all of the set-up codes for your brand of equipment ,or your brand is not listed, and you are still not able to get the unit to respond, try the following procedure to search for your code.
If you don't find a code that works, the remote will flash four times when you reach the end of all the codes for this device type.

  1. PRESS the button for the device you want to program, (TV, VCR, CABLE, etc.), then RELEASE.
  2. PRESS and HOLD the SETUP button until the red LED flashes twice, then RELEASE.
  3. ENTER 9-9-1 (two blinks on the remote)
  4. ALTERNATE slowly between the POWER key and the DEVICE (TV, VCR, CABLE, etc.) button until your device turns off. (On VCR, LD, and CD players use PLAY instead of POWER)
Make sure that the remote is pointed at your device during the search, You may have to press this sequences of buttons up to 100 times to search the entire library of codes.
  5. When your device turns OFF, PRESS the SETUP button and RELEASE it to lock in the code for your device.

2. Learn the buttons from the original

Line up your original remote and the head-to-head before completing the following steps.
  1. PRESS and HOLD the SETUP button until the red LED flashes twice.
  2. PRESS 9 - 7 - 5, the red LED will flash twice.
  3. PRESS the DEVICE key where you wish to learn the function. The next 3 steps must be completed within 10 seconds.
  4. PRESS the button that will receive the learned function, the LED will flash rapidly.
  5. PRESS the button on the original remote to be learned.

Now you can repeat steps 3 through 5 to learn other functions onto other keys or press and hold SETUP until the Cinema's red light flashes twice to lock in your new feature. (If the red light does not blink twice, stop and repeat steps through 6).
To test the new feature, press and release the device key in which the new feature was learned followed by the key on which the feature was learned

Hope that helps!

SOURCE: GE Slim Spacemaker Stero CD Player with Counter Light and Remote Control

press the " SET 'clock symbol' " button
a little red check mark with a circle around it pops up to the lower right of the time
press and hold either the " TRK >>| " button (to move the time forwards)
or the " TRK <<| " button (to move the time backwards)
when you are finished changing the time, the time change indicator (the little check mark with the circle around it), will go away on its own
you can repeat these steps as many times as necessary until you get the time right -- the numbers change pretty quickly when you are holding down the change buttons!!!

My Scott Remote Control #KC01-B1 one night just would not connect to the sensor in my tv. I thought my batteries were low and changed them. The remote would still not work. I went to a Radio Shack...

Before you throw any more money at this problem, have you considered that the problem might be with the Infra-red (IR) receiver in the TV?

Also, did you programme the correct codes for your Scott TV into the universal remote/s? If you can let me know the model number/s of the universal remote/s - and you still have them - I can probably verify the codes and the programming instructions.

Hope this helps.

Dish network remote to run RCA DVD player

I had rca remote that did not recieve ir signals but rf signals instead. Check online with rca or in owners manual for what type of signal factory remote sends. The dvd player I had was 5 dvd and that was the case. Dish might have an option like direct tv where you can program rf signals as well. Call dish network support or look online

CAR STERO CODE

First make sure that the code has not been noted somewhere within the car (underneath the ash tray, glove box , rear of sun visor etc)

To see if your code is available here for free then the radio will have to be removed from the dashboard (and if you are lucky, someone may have written the code on the casing ) .

If not then POST ANOTHER QUESTION

quoting the radio MAKE+MODEL plus ALL the LETTERS+NUMBERS on ANY LABELS ,BARCODES or STAMPED IN THE METAL CASING

note: Unfortunately not all radios can be decoded using the Serial Number

If not then try your Main Dealer ...........or take it into a Decode Service who will plug in a laptop to read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM). This takes a few minutes and shouldn`t be too expensive

Remote Doesn't control stero

Blinking doesnt always mean that the IR transmitter is working in the remote.
Check a couple-few of the online remote dealers you may be able to get one cheap.

I just can't get it to work, new batteries and all.

First check if the remote control is sending an infrared signal. If the LED is flashing, this does not mean the Remote control is sending the IR signal. There is a separet Infrared LEd that sends the signal. To check the IR, point the remote control in a video camera or any camera with real-time monitor (phone cam, webcam, etc.) and press any button. You will see a white flash coming from the Remote control. thjis works best if the camera is black&white, for color camera, the IR is still visible but quite faint. Another way of checking the IR (if you do not have a camera) is to press the RM in front of another device with remote control and while doing so, press the correct remote control . If that other does not function or functions erratically, then the remote control in question is emitting an IR signal. If there is no IR coming out, the solder conection of the IR LED might be the problem. It is rare that the IR LED will be damage because the remote control is only 3 volts. If the remote control does emit an IR signal, then the TV remote reciever is defective. I had this problem with a CD player that I have fixed. The IR reciever looks like an LED (dark colored) with three pins (V+, signal, ground). Cost less than $3
