Question about Samsung Digimax A402 Digital Camera

1 Answer

Blurry photos I get one crisp clear photo out of about 15. I don't know the reason. I have sent it in twice and they repair it (ya right) and I get the same thing. The only thing I can figure out is that on the lense ring if I make sure it is pointed toward the pine trees (lanscape I assume) that it will take a decent photo. They have changed the lense supposedly on the second time I sent it in. I have an extended warrantee on it yet.. I went into settings and took it off of auto and put it on landscape. It seems to help but have not taken that many yet. My mother's 80th birthday was Saturday and I took 45 photos and got maybe three that were decent!I keep sending it in but nothing happens.

Re: Blurry photos

I have had the same problem and tried messing with the settings and found that if I used these two buttons ( IOI ) & the right click button, next to the menu button (it has a circle with a line and a dot in it) that my pictures seem to look better. But, I am not an expert, so I have to try different things for each picture ( I never had a manual), and am not sure what these buttons are for but them seem to help with the blurry pictures I was getting. I hope this helps. Konna

"I dropped my Nikon D3000 and now when I take a photo the shutter clicks twice very slowly and then the picture comes out blurry. What is wrong and what can I do to fix it?"

By virtue of the fact that you are asking this question, I must assume that you are not a qualified camera repair man. Unfortunately, the problem you described is not something you should attempt to repair yourself. It is very likely that your camera has multiple problems. It will cost you less to either send it to Nikon's repair depot or to a camera repair man. If you try to repair it yourself, there is a good chance you will only succeed in doing more damage and increasing your repair cost.

When I take photos ,stripes appear on the screen and comes on the photos when printed. This don't happen on video.

Try resetting the camera by removing thebattery for 15 mins. Then install the fully charged battery in the camera andgo to the menu and set the Date and Time.If this does not work then this camera needs to be sent away forrepairs. Just like a motor vehicle, some repairs to your camera require atechnical specialist to fix your problem.

Blurry indoor photos

blurry pictures often comes from the slightest movement when the pictures is snapped.
Don;t know if that is your problem or not try a photo tripod and see if that helps or check your trouble shooting area of your amnual. if you don't have the manual go to this site for any type of manual::::

you should be able to select Auto or Default. Try pulling the batterys out and letting sit for a while. if none of that solves the issue it may be a damage issue.

"hand" icon flashing

It's likely your photos are blurry from camera motion, caused by taking a hand-held photo with a slow shutter speed, rather than out of focus.

The hand icon flashes when you don't have enough light to take a crisp (not blurry) photo without either using a tripod (or a flash). The reason for a flashing hand is you can't "hand-hold" the camera at the current settings - you need to use a tripod. If you are "zoomed in" (on a telephoto setting for your lens) you can sometimes get a crisp hand-held photo if you "zoom out" to a wider angle setting on the lens. (You need a steadier hand to hand-hold a telephoto lens setting than a wide-angle lens setting.)

You may have changed a setting that sets the ISO (the normal setting would be "auto") and if so, if you change the ISO to a high number, or to auto, this will help you take better photos in low light. Check your camera's user's manual to see how to check/change the ISO.

When you have more light the icon will stop flashing. If you need to take hand-held photos in low light then you need to use flash, or get a better camera that has better low light capabilities.

Pictures are blurry; quality of photos seem compromised

As simple as this may sound, have you cleaned the lens lately? A lot of image quality deterioration comes from a finger print or other smudge on the lens. Digital cameras are succeptable to even the smallest gunk on the lens. Because the lens element is very tiny, use a cotton swab with a drop of lens cleaner (or isopropyl alcohol) to thouroughly clean and dry the lens. If it isn't a dirty lens, check your file-size and flash settings.

Casio Exilim s500--horizontal lines in picture and autofocus creates blurry pics

It appears this problem is due a failing CCD device in many brand cameras. All the manufactures use the same source(s). I have not persued Casio as yet, but other companies are offering a recall to replace the CCD for free. I plan to use this approach with Casio. Search the web for "failing CCD in digital camera", it describes exactly what we are observing.
