My sansa mp3 will not turn on .I can plug it in to the computer and the blue light will come on in the scroll ring ,but the screen stays black. I took the back off and removed the battery for 30 seconds . I reinstalled the battery and got "key lock system shutdown " on the screen before it shut down . Got any ideas ? Thanks Tom

Blue ring: Remove the back and push softly but firmly on the Rubber rectangle above the battery hold battery in place and turn on(This is the Chipset For the screen, Black screen Blue ring ) and put the back on.
make sure the battery is fully charged, then disconnect from your computer. Wait a while for the device to cool and try turning it on again. Mine took a few tries but once it sat for a while it didnt fight me again.
You need to put the device into "recovery mode" before you run the tool.
- Turn the device off (hold power for 20 seconds) - Slide the hold switch into "hold" position. - Press and hold the "record" button while connecting it to your computer. Keep holding the "record" button until you see the "new hardware found" on your computer.
Then run the recovery tool. Select format when prompted.
